Millennials especially at this point in time, are faced with financial difficulties, have lost their jobs, or have actually never been employed and/or do not know what is next in life for them. Common in my part of the world.
Even when they have the resources for close to 80% of any startup business, they still lack the confidence, knowledge, and zeal to try it - the fear for failure.
When I started my journey to social media branding and growth, some of my colleagues referred to my pursuit as meant for bazungu (whites) - not being racist in any way. At this point, I knew I had found my purpose; To promote social media for business use.
