Savannah Moon is a creative film, television and web production company with a vision to develop media content in Uganda using the wealth of established and unknown talent within the East African Region and utilising a production crew of both Ugandan and International individuals who collectively have a vast amount of knowledge in Film, Television, Web, Photography, Music and the Arts. The compan
y aims to open doors to young and up-coming Ugandan talent who might otherwise not have the opportunity to showcase their ability in a competitive environment as well as raise the standards of the Ugandan film industry, locally known as Ugawood, to Hollywood standards. The subject matter in many of the projects undertaken at Savannah Moon aims to be relevant and identifiable by Ugandans and Africans in general and lends itself easily to a popular and vibrant target market on the continent. Founded in 2010 by Nana Kagga-Macpherson (Nana Hill) and her sister Meme Kagga, Savannah moon has one full length feature film completed and in distribution title “THE LIFE” and a series in pre-production titled “BENEATH THE LIES”. The major goals for the foundation of SAVANNAH MOON are to:
1. Create, Market and Distribute professional and high-calibre content for the entertainment industry in Uganda, East Africa and worldwide by drawing on the strength of a diverse team of talented and skilled cast and crew; and
2. Generate exposure and build capacity of the Ugandan entertainment industry – The projects undertaken will provide a new and ground breaking professional film making experience
