The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda His Grace Dr.Kazimba Mugaru has appreciated the Minister of State for Trade ,Industry and Cooperatives David Bahati for his immense support to the Church of God.
This he said on Easter Sunday while preaching at All Saints Cathedral in Kampala. He appreciated the government for providing the compensation funds that helped the church to clear abig part of the 60billion Shillings Church House debt where Minister Bahati prayed a pivotal role through the NRM government led by president Yoweri Kaguta Museven.
The Archbishop said that the church is only left with 16billion shillings to complete the Equity Bank debt ,giving hopes to Christians that also the balance will soon be cleared despite the challenges being faced .

Government has this afternoon tabled a request to Parliament, to borrow Shs1.8 billion to cater for the funeral/burial expenses of the Late Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, whose body is expected to arrive in Uganda this Friday from Seattle, USA.

Wilfred Niwagaba the Ndorwa East mp and shadow attorney general was received with ared carpet walk yesterday while campaigning in his constituency.
Talking to residents,Niwagaba vowed to sue government if it continues with the process of demarcating wetlands that have always been used by Ugandans for years without compensation .

Bernard Barinabo from Nyinabirere village ,Bigaaga Parish ,Butanda sub-county says that for the last two years this road has been well worked on with quality marrum.
" You can emagine this time around , i travelled from Butanda to Kabale town taking my produce and i reached there in less than an hour". It used not to be like this",Zipora Fuuni from Kabere in Butanda sub county .
Benon Bahiika the LC 2 chairperson Bigaaga parish says , that Katuna muko road is now at another level , its easy now for any time of car to travel to Kabale town. "This why we voted him 90 percent really", says Bahika
The Katuna Muko road is being worked on by Rodo construction company and so far machines are finalising Butanda subcounty heading to Muko.
Meanwhile, government is yet to tarmac the same road. Recently parliament approved the proposal by Government to borrow funds totaling to USD 235.m to facilitate tarmacking of three road projects that include Katuna- Muko – Kamuganguzi road which connects Ndorwa West to Rubanda West constituency in Greater Kabale District. The other projects are Namagumba- Budadiri- Nalugugu road, Naropi- Moyo- Afongi road near South Sudan Border .
The proposal was tabled by the Chairperson, Budget Committee Amos Lugolobi.
Parliament led by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga approved the proposal to borrow part of the funds from African Development Bank (ADB)

HEALTH MIN.ACENG COMMENDS BAHATI ON HEALTH SERVICES IN NDORWA WEST.
The Ministry of Health has launched a drive to spray mosquitoes using Microbial Larvicide as a way of controlling malaria in the Kigezi sub-region.
The program to be implemented in the districts of Kabale, Rubanda, and Kisoro was launched at Butanda health centre III in Kabale district on Friday afternoon.
While launching the program, Health Minister, Jane Ruth Aceng said that the program is a donation from the government of Egypt in response to a request made by President Yoweri Museveni 12 years back.
She also commended Minister Bahati for tirelessly serving Kabale and Kigezi and supporting the ministry of health especially by providing money to implement the program.
She appreciated Bahati for lobbying from the government through the ministry of health to see that every sub county in Ndorwa West and Kabale has a health center III .
The minister of state for finance, planning and economic development David Bahati who is also the Ndorwa West mp appreciated Minister Ruth Aceng in the fight against malaria and covid19 and also for supporting health services not only in Kabale district but the whole country .
Dr Alfred Mubangizi, the acting Commissioner for Vector Control in the Ministry of Health, they adapted the use of Larvicide after malaria cases across the country especially in the Kigezi sub-region continued to increase. Microbial Larvicide pesticides control mosquito larvae in outdoor areas such as irrigation ditches, floodwater, ponds, pastures, fresh or salty water bodies, and stormwater retention areas.
Mubangizi says that their research indicated that mosquitoes in the targeted areas became resistant to all types of insecticide and the government’s effort of indoor spraying caused a little progress. Butanda, the area where the project was launched recorded 741 cases of malaria followed by Maziba sub-county out of the total of 4,
