KIIRA FM 88.6 is an independent privately owned radio station with neither religious nor political affiliations, but ready to spearhead and stimulate the development cause of the people within its coverage area and Uganda as a whole. Premised on its well-researched programmes tackling issues that directly or indirectly affect the lives of the people in Busoga, Kiira FM is a tool aiming at brining

qualitative change in the region. The radio is also a trusted source of timely and accurate local, national and world news, providing its audience with a broad discussion of ideas, and a distinctive blend of diverse music and entertainment, while operating as a significant media link to Busoga and its environs. It was officially inaugurated and blessed on 9 February,2002 by then then Kyabazinga of Busoga HRH Henry Wako Muloki. Kiira FM is privately owned and governed by a fully functional Board of Directors headed by Mr.
