The story behind Amabere ga Nyinamwiru !

The name 'Amabeere Ga Nyina Mwiru' translates as “breasts of Nyinamwiru”, with Nyinamwiru being the daughter of a local usurper king 'Bukkuku' who reportedly had her breasts cut off to make her less attractive to men.

This rather drastic plan failed and the king, Bukuku of Toro then hid her in the cave.

Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru is a unique tourist attraction that is located 10 km away from Fort Portal town in Kabarole near Nyakasura School. This is a strong cultural heritage site amongst the Batoro people who are a tribe in this area , a huge attractions in Uganda.

Christians have been encouraged to always give thanks to God for the great things he has done for them.

The call was made by Rev. Charles Kayondo when giving his summon to hundreds of Christians who had turned up for yesterday's Sunday prayers during the thanksgiving and fundraising ceremony at Kaswa church of Uganda in Busoro sub-county Kabarole district.

When preaching, the man of God stated that it is key for the people to always know the meaning of giving thanks to God and being appreciative of whatever he has done for them, especially for the breath.

Rev. Kayondo has also encouraged married couples especially men to always be thankful to each other in their homes citing some men who are not appreciative of their wives trying to hide in some traditions and trying to show their supremacy in their homes.

However, during the fundraising, Mugenyi Joseph, an accountant from NWSC who was the guest of honour contributed 3.6M Shillings towards the construction of the church of God.

Joseph Mugenyi encouraged Christians to always develop the heart of giving back to God if they are to get blessings in their homes.

Present were the deputy DEO Kabarole Angwena who contributed 100,000shs and Mugabo Fred who was the chief guest who encouraged the people of Busoro to embrace educating their children.
