BURIAL PROGRAM FOR Umukuka Emeritus Ambassador Wamimbi Weasa Wilson .
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Tuesday 16th April, 2024 at St. Luke Church Ntinda at 9:30am thereafter the body will be taken to Mbale.
On Wednesday 17th April 2024, the body will be taken to Lukhobo for a seating in honor of the late and thereafter to Rongoro for the overnight vigil.
On Thursday the body will be at Rongoro for Public viewing and overnight vigil.
On Friday 19th April 2024, the body will be taken to St. Andrew's Cathedral for a church service in honor of the late at 10:00am thereafter taken to Busano for an overnight vigil.
On Saturday 20th April 2024 he will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Busano.

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has arrested Mr. Wilberforce Tukei, the RDC Bukedea and SP Charles Okoto who the DPC in the district.

These are detained at Bukedea CPS on allegations of failing to act on reports of criminal activities during the recent LCV Chairperson by elections in Bukedea District.

: Fire guts Elgon Junior School and properties destroyed.

With grief and shock at Mutufu town council in Sironko district, fire has gutted Elgon junior nursery and primary dormitory destroing property in the wee hours of Friday morning.

According to Philomoni Madoi a parent says that fire gutted the boy's dormitory at 3am and some pupils who were inside after seeing the fire they alerted their fellows and escaped through the windows and doors.

Joel Wadada a teacher at the school says that no child was injured during this tragedy but children properties like books, clothes, among others were completely burnt into ash.

Ephraime Denis Balwaniregha the Sironko Resident District Commissioner has confirmed the incident saying the fire was caused by short circuit of Electricity.

Land slide has buried a family in Buluganya sub county, Bulambuli.

The incident happened next to Masugu Primary school after a heavy downpour of two hours burrying livestock and destroying coffee plantations.

Unknown number of people is reportedly covered in the mud as locals are using hand hoes to exhume those the mud.

Hon Agnes Nandutu, the Woman MP Bududa district has been detained by the police over Karamoja iron sheets scandal.

The State Minister for Karamoja affairs is currently being held at Kira Division Police station. Earlier, she handed herself over to the Police at CID Headquarters, Kibuli.

The Uganda Police Force today (Monday) morning obtained a statement from Honorable Minister of State for Karamoja Hon. Agnes Nandutu in relation to the ongoing investigations about Abuse of office and Theft of Iron sheets meant for Karamoja.

The file has been submitted to the office of the DPP for further guidance and possible sanctioning.

Scene of Crime officers and homicide detectives are still at scene gathering evidence.

While in Namisindwa, a father has been arrested on allegations of killing his 9months son.
