"Student Journalism Platform" is a public organization founded in March 2021 by teachers and students of Taurida National University. The goal of the organization is to make the student's voice heard in the Ukrainian media space, students on the platform publish reporting, interviews on topics that are of most interest and concern today. The organization has contributed to the creation of the Trut

hful Reporting website ( which you are looking at right now) and actively involves students in the development of this online platform. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the idea arose to highlight the experiences, thoughts and visions of young people during these very difficult times for Ukraine. That is why the "War Diary" project was created, which is currently being developed by about twenty students from different universities, from different parts of Ukraine. The NGO already has the experience of submitting grants, so recently we received a positive response from the Norwegian organization "Fritt Ord Foundation." The funds from the grant will be directed to the development of the "War Diary" project, in particular the promotion of the site, salary for the authors, translators etc.

NGO «Student Journalism Platform» received a grant for the project «Faces of Resilience: living with the consequences of war», which we will implement with «Neopalymy»

Dear readers, we have some great news for you! Truthful Reporting, a publication of the NGO Student Journalism Platform, has received a grant for the project «Faces of resilience: living with the consequences of war». The project is supported by the Norwegian foundation Fritt Ord.

Fritt Ord is a private, non-profit organization that promotes freedom of expression, public debate, art and culture.

This project will be implemented together with our partners, the national program «Neopalymi», which is engaged in the external rehabilitation of Ukrainians affected by the war.
Our project aims to collect and publish the stories of Ukrainians who are undergoing rehabilitation after being injured as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. We want to show Ukraine and the world how our people find new meaning in life, how they recover physically and emotionally, and where they find the motivation to go on living despite all the difficulties. We want to tell the world how Ukrainians adapt to normal life after severe trauma, how society responds to them, and how they perceive themselves. We will ask them where they find support on their path to recovery, how our society can become more inclusive, and how each of us can help these people return to normal life.

Volodymyr Krutevych, a 21-year-old volunteer from Ternopil region, has made dozens of visits to the most dangerous areas of the front, where he delivers aid to Ukrainian defenders. The volunteer also takes care of civilian citizens in de-occupied territories and places close to the line of contact.

From the first days of russian invasion, the young man has been capturing the moments he sees on camera: destroyed settlements, remnants of military equipment, explosion craters, emotions of war victims. His footage leaves no one indifferent.

We talked with Volodymyr Krutevych about people who don’t leave their homes even despite mortal danger, the role of photography, and resisting harmful narratives spread by the enemy.

Anastasia Goncharova encountered the full-scale invasion in Cyprus, where she had been working for several years. Without hesitation, she agreed to coordinate the company’s efforts to help the Ukrainian military, and later opened her first collection, which was successful. Since then, she hasn’t stopped, raising around eight million hryvnias, using funny memes, publishing touching posts and spending three hours a day sending personal pleas to support the next collection. Although she had the opportunity to stay, she returned to Ukraine in 2023. She does not think she is doing anything special. She believes that everyone with a Ukrainian passport should help save the lives of the defenders.

Anastasia Goncharova tells us what keeps her going and how the ‘Dushnila’ tattoo works in the collection.

Volodymyr Krutevych originally from the town of Kremenets in the Ternopil region and he is 21 years old now. He has been volunteering since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The young man has made over 50 trips to the front line and has also visited most of the de-occupied territories in more than two years of war.

Despite numerous risks and dangers, he delivers the most essential items to military and civilians: food, medicine, clothes, equipment, etc. Volodymyr believes that we must withstand the enemy’s offensive and constantly help our defenders and Ukrainians in need.

The hero of our story brings back emotional photos that capture what he saw from each mission. We spoke with Volodymyr Krutevych about the “backstage” of volunteering, war photography, and the impact of the war on his morale in the home front. This is the first part of the conversation, and we will publish the next part later. Stay tuned for updates on our website!
