Did you know that Ethiopians once trained lions? All your life, you were told that Africa was a barren, destitute continent. But when you conduct your own research and observe throughout history and now, you'll find a continent with many abundant countries, resourceful lands, beautiful people, and resources. Countries like Ethiopia are among the oldest on the planet. Some have real kingdoms that date back millennia.

Ethiopians trained Lions to capture the soldiers of the enemy and fought side by side with Cheetahs,bees, and lions? Ethiopia 1896 🇪🇹

The Ethiopians went to war with dangerous animals and insects such as bees, wasps, lions, or cheetahs trained to capture the soldiers of the enemy camp, which enabled them to win all the wars of colonization against them and to be the only country in the world to have never been colonized. At the battle of Adwa Ethiopian warriors skilled in sword fighting called Shotel destroyed the invading Italian soldiers in hand to hand combat.

The Battle of Adwa was the climactic battle of the First Italo-Ethiopian War. The Ethiopian forces defeated the Italian invading force on Sunday 1 March 1896, near the town of Adwa. The decisive victory thwarted the campaign of the Kingdom of Italy to expand its colonial empire in the Horn of Africa.

The Ethiopians surrounded the Italians for two weeks and, upon Empress Tayitu's advice, cut off the fort's water supply. The Italian commander agreed to surrender if they would be allowed to leave with their fi****ms. Menelik agreed that they could leave the garrison unharmed.

2. South Sudanese also fought for 45 years with Arabs for liberation. This war killed 10 million men, and there is now a high chance to close the gap.

3. In South Sudanese tradition, if you die without a wife, your younger brother or immediate family member will marry a wife for you and name the children with your name. So, as long you are born a South Sudanese, you must have descendants.

Young Asante boy holding king`s sword whilst performing traditional dance before the chiefs and people of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana during annual Akwasidae festival. To celebrate the Akwasidae, elderly women versed in traditional songs, would go to the palace continue, towards the evening of Saturday called Memenedae Dapaa, to sing, memorial songs until late in the night.
A gathering called Akom occurs, here drums are beaten and horns sounded to welcome the festival amidst dancing and merry making. In the early hours of the morning the drums are resumed to rouse the dead kings (nananom/nsamnafo ahenfo) and their elders (nsamanfo) from their sleep to partake in the festival.

Something that biologically and scientifically belongs to women is being taken by a man. And the women there did not revolt against a man taking their prizes in female competitions. Is this not getting out of hand? The man, Bob, issued an apology after he accepted the award, and real Nigerians came out and said they will not stand for it forget the apology. Many Nigerians stood their ground since and said you cannot take something that belongs to mothers and sisters and give it to a man. 👏👏

1. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is located in West Africa on the Atlantic coast and bordered by Guinea and Liberia.

2. The country takes its name from the Portuguese explorer Pedro de Sintra who named the country “Serra Leoa” (Lion Mountains) due to the impressive mountains he saw while sailing along the West African coast in 1462.

3.Archaeological evidence suggests Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 has been inhabited for thousands of years with successive waves of inv.aders as well as immigration from inland peoples making up today’s diverse population

4. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is home to 16 ethnic groups. Each group has their own language and traditional attire.

5 If there is one thing that this small nation is blessed with is its rich mineral resource. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 is famous for its diamonds. Apart from diamonds, bauxite and titanium are also extracted on large scale. It also produces gold and rutile on a large scale.

6. Sierra Leone’s capital city, Freetown, was founded as a home for repatriated and rescued former slaves in 1787

7. English is the official language; however, Krio is the language that is understood by most of the population. Krio is a Creole language, first spoken by descendants of freed Jamaican slaves who settled in the Freetown area.

8. Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 has a simple horizontally striped green, white and blue flag. Green stands for agriculture and the mountains, white for unity and justice, and blue for the aspiration to “contribute to world peace, especially through the use of its unique natural harbour at Freetown”
