From Dawn to Dusk

Close your eyes for a moment. And while you do that, picture this wonderfully diverse planet we call home. (Yes, really.)

Everything that you just imagined—God created all of it. And God created all of us to worship Him.

From north to south and east to west.
From bustling cities to slow-paced villages.
From lifeless deserts to life-packed forests.
From the highest mountains to the farthest oceans.

“From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised!”
Psalm 113:3 NIV

The sun “rises” and “sets” on all of us. All people, all languages, all nations. All skin colors, eye colors, and hair colors. All shapes, sizes, and personalities. Rich and poor. Aching hearts and contagious smiles.

An eclectic mix of people from various parts of the world have always been praising God from generation to generation—and it continues to happen now. And we know it will never stop.

In Revelation 7, John has a vision of a “great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb,” who is Christ. They are serving and worshiping, all day and night.

God’s people—past, present, and future—are worshiping people.

We can worship with our songs.
We can worship with our money.
We can worship with our lives.

And one day, when we finally see things clearly, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. But today, we don’t have to wait to worship.

When sunlight streams through your windows, you can worship.
When the evening sky turns orange-ish pink, you can worship.
When you’re in a season of waiting, you can worship.
When you’re in a season of receiving, you can worship.
When your heart is breaking, you can worship.
When your heart is full, you can worship.

From dawn to dusk, let the name of the Lord be praised.

Today, think about this verse and consider what compels you to worship God. Then, shift your heart toward Him and don’t forget to worship.

The Storm of Anxiety and the Lighthouse of Peace

The more I reflect and sit in the beauty of nature, the more I realize the wisdom of Jesus’ use of everyday sights to bring peace. Think about it. How common is it to see birds whirring through the air? Whenever you see them, you’re reminded of Jesus' words about the sparrows. They are in the Father’s care. They don’t toil, but they’re fed and thriving. And what about the trees that bring shade to protect you from the scorching heat? His mercies are built into the atmosphere to reveal His protection and peace.

It’s easy to feel peace on that park bench, but, I get it—some moments in life are not park-bench experiences. When the sirens wail, the wind bends the trees, and rain floods in, the question remains: How do we tap into peace in the midst of chaos?

Philippians 4:6-7

It’s safe to say that a conversation with God and intentional gratefulness are a part of the answer. We’d be shocked to see how our mind transforms with these two practices.

Alongside this, let me hand over some practical nuggets that have helped me to overcome anxiety. Firstly, be aware of what written, visual, and audible material you are consuming daily. The “cares of the world” have a way of snuffing out peace, if they don’t carry the grace and perspective of Heaven. Next, in the moment of feeling anxiety, simply say the words, “Thank You, Holy Spirit, for peace.” If you’ve given your life to Him, He lives inside of you and has profound power to provide the fruit of the Spirit when you need them the most.

Reflection
“A conversation with God and intentional gratefulness are a part of the answer.” Write down a list of 10 things you are grateful for, and then verbalize them to God.

Verse of the Day! 💗💗

Love in Action

Scripture has a lot to say about the way we treat people. If we have been saved by God, and have been shown the mercy and goodness of God, then we ought to show mercy and goodness to other people. Essentially…

…what we believe should determine how we act.

All of us who have received grace freely from God ought to also give grace freely to others. In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, he encourages them to be kind and compassionate to others. This idea is spread across all of God’s Word…

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
1 John 4:11 NIV

“…All of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”
1 Peter 3:8 NIV.

“You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.”
Luke 6:36 NLT

Showing other people compassion is one of the primary ways that we can communicate God’s love to other people. If we fail to love other people, we also fail to show them God’s love.

Paul also says we should forgive other people in our life, just as we have already been forgiven by Jesus. Forgiveness and compassion go together. When we do not forgive others, we fail to show them the same compassionate love that Jesus has shown us. A love that, as it suffered for us and because of us, still allowed Jesus to say, "Father forgive them—because they don't know what they're doing." We ought to be careful that we do not deny others the same love we’ve been freely given.

If you want to learn more about how to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving toward others, you can read through the stories of Jesus’ life and ministry found in the books Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

But right now, take some time to think about the people in your own life who you may have the opportunity to show compassion to. Is there someone in need who you can help? Is there a person you can forgive? Is there someone who you can encourage?

Today is a great day to show people the same love, compassion, and forgiveness that you have received.

Choose Your Foundation

Imagine standing next to the sea as waves crash at your feet, storm clouds swallow the sky, and the wind whips your face.

You know you need shelter—and that’s when you see a small hut nestled in the sand nearby, and one further away that’s firmly built into a rocky hill. Which shelter would you choose to take cover in?

2,000 years ago, when Jesus walked this earth, He often told stories to the crowds that gathered around to hear Him teach. One day, He said to them:

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” ‭‭
Matthew‬ ‭7:24-25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As was His way, Jesus used real-life examples to help explain spiritual truths:

“But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:26-27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are all building our lives on something. Every decision we make reinforces what we believe our support system to be. So when life’s storms come, will the thing you’ve built your life on support you—or cause you to crumble?

Jesus’ teachings have remained reliable and steadfast through social upheaval, the rise and fall of government regimes, and generations of historic change. No matter what has happened—God’s Word still stands firm.

Teachings from the world, on the other hand, tend to shift with each generation. Like shifting sand, what current culture provides is usually unstable because its values are constantly changing.

Storms are inevitable and challenges will come, but you get to choose your foundation. You can choose to make Jesus the one thing you build your life upon, or you can choose whatever habit, idea, or desire feels good and accessible in the moment.

So … what will you build your life upon?
Good morning and God Bless! 💗💗

Our Shield and Warrior

One of the primary images of God in the Old Testament is that of God as a Warrior. All throughout Scripture, God is frequently going to battle for His people, or standing alongside them in the midst of difficulty, protecting His people from harm.

Scripture tells us that God does not idly stand aside and watch His children fight alone. He is a Warrior who not only fights alongside them, but is actively protecting His people.

This is why the writer of Psalm 3 calls God a Shield that surrounds him. God is not distant—He is present and active in our lives. Even though we may experience pain and suffering, we can go to God for help and for safety. He knows how to protect and fight for us.

The writer of this Psalm also says that God is the One who lifts his head in the midst of difficulty. It can be easy to become discouraged or tired in the midst of hard times. But in the midst of those moments, God supports us.

When we come to God as our Shield, He not only protects us, but He also gives us hope and peace. He restores the parts of us that are tired and burned out. God gives us a reason to continue to fight and have hope.

If you’re in a season where you’ve lost hope, or you’re discouraged and tired, spend some time praying to God right now. Ask Him to be your Shield in this difficult time. Pray for Him to restore your joy and your hope so that way you can lift your head up and continue to follow Him.

Plant Generously

In his second letter to the believers in Corinth, Greece, the apostle Paul expressed His gratefulness for their commitment to generosity before challenging them with this statement:

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Paul knew that God had established some common-sense principles when it came to generosity. All throughout Scripture, we see both natural and spiritual implications of this cycle.

Natural: If you plant a few seeds in the ground, you will reap a small harvest. If you plant hundreds or thousands of seeds in the ground, you will reap a large harvest.

Spiritual: If you spend your time, money, talents, or energy investing in a friend, a stranger, a ministry, or the next generation, God can certainly multiply those efforts.

But Paul also makes it clear in the surrounding verses that you shouldn’t just give to get. If you do give, you should do so willingly and cheerfully—not begrudgingly.

What we sow with the right heart, God will surely multiply what we produce.

Proverbs 11:18 says, “…the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.” Hosea 10:13 says, “You have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception...”

Instead of seeds of selfishness, anger, or pride, let’s plant seeds of selflessness, peace, and humility.

Ask yourself: How am I investing my life? What types of seeds am I planting? Am I trusting that God will multiply my efforts when invested with the right heart?

Take some time to reflect on what you’re planting and reaping today, and ask God to direct your steps.

Good morning and God Bless! ❤️❤️

Two ways to cling to God’s goodness

For years, nothing in King David’s life looked “good.” His family underestimated him, giants despised him, and his father in law spent years trying to kill him. But the whole time, David clung to a promise that God would establish him, and make him king of Israel.

David never gave up or gave in—he stayed close to God, and waited for Him to act. And when God acts, this is how David responds:

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34 NIV

Despite the pain David endured, he knew that even when life didn’t look good, he still served his good God. And this same God actively fights for us.

Through His Son, Jesus, He has given us continual access to Himself. We can never lose His unfailing love toward us—a love that endures forever, no matter what goes on around us.

David recognized this, and proclaimed it. And every day, we have the opportunity to do the same thing.

Here are 2 practical ways we can respond to God’s goodness and love:

Thank Him in Prayer
When Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray, he told them to start like this: “Our Father in heaven, help us to honor Your name.” It’s fine to ask God for things, but real relationships include both take and give. So at least once a day for the next week, go to God in prayer, and thank Him for something He’s done, without asking Him for anything in return.

Share Your Story
The writer of Hebrews encourages us to honor God by “proclaiming our allegiance to his name.” (Hebrews 13:15-16) So what has God done for you? Where have you seen Him provide, protect, show up, or show off through your life? Look for natural opportunities to share what God is doing in you with someone else.

Right now, reflect on your life and thank God for His eternal goodness. Nothing you have faced or will face is too much for the God who loves you and died for you. Bring Him your concerns, surrender your expectations, and allow Him to reveal the evidence of His goodness in your life.
Good morning and God Bless Everyone! ❤️❤️

I used to hate people who were crying in front of me not because It's so dramatic but because I felt pity for them and I had nothing to offer to ease what they felt.

But when I get it, when I understand what they felt and my situation goes like what situation they have,

✨ I realized that crying is the last thing they could do on the things that it's so heavy to carry.

✨ I realized that they cry because they feel that it's easing their pain by letting it all out through tears.

✨ I realized that crying and showing weaknesses doesn't mean it's embarrassing.

✨ I realized that bursting their pains, pressure, and problems through tears, are not aftering our pity or sympathy but finding someone who wants to listen and comfort them.

I thank God for letting me know these things through letting me feel it. But how awesome that if we let our tears fall because of so much pain, it must be done unto God first before to the others. He was there waiting on you because he has the solutions and comfort that are surely your soul needs. 🥹

I'm praying for those people who are crying of so much pain, pressure and problems, you are not alone. I hope you will never come to the solution where God doesn't want you to do it but end up in the solution where he wants you to take.

🪨 Heavy problems? God is strong and mighty!

🪨 Deep pain? God is the best healer and can do the total mending.

🪨 Unending pressure? Jesus is the prince of peace.

When people cannot, He can. When it's difficult for us, it's easy for Him. Remember even the great storm of wind obeyed His voice.

Soul, it's okay to cry, but fight that burden with prayer. He has that solution, comfort and peace. I know that's what your heart and soul are looking for in difficult times. 🙏🏻🥹

“If there's no shoulder to cry on, there's a floor to kneel on.” 🤍

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Masterpieces in Process

There’s a verse in Proverbs that’s often quaintly quoted when referring to a close friendship or marriage…

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” - Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Yes, we want to encourage each other, cheer each other on, and sharpen each other emotionally, physically, and spiritually. But when you truly think about the implications of such a description, this verse is anything but quaint.

Iron is sharpened through heat and friction, through cutting and slicing. As it is beaten, it is reshaped into something beautiful and purposeful and even better than before.

Sharpening is purposeful, but it can also be painful. It’s intentional friction that often results in a purer, stronger, sharper character. We aren’t sharpened by thoughtless, careless, or unintentional relationships, but we are sharpened by those who lovingly help chip away the excess junk—who can recognize and visualize the masterpiece God wants us to become.

We can be sharpened by mentors, pastors, spouses, teachers, and friends. But we can also be sharpened by the dearest friend we have—the Holy Spirit. The part of God who’s considered the third “person” of the Trinity, the One who does the refining work. The Holy Spirit is like a personal and professional metal-worker who is skilled and deliberate, focused and detailed, trustworthy and true.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

When we surrender to God’s refining work inside of us, we can help others see the work of art in themselves. So today, allow God to sharpen you. Ask Him to reveal the parts of your life that need to be refined, and then surrender to the work He wants to do inside you.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:7‭-‬13 NKJV

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have

Making sure you are on the path

When you make a decision to trust and follow Jesus, you can have assurance that God has forgiven and begun an amazing work inside you. The Bible tells us, “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6

It’s been said that “You can know that you know that you know.” God wants to give you a powerful sense of His peace, grace and love deep down in your heart.

Here are marks of a person who has truly been saved by Jesus:

You sense the weight of sin and shame lifted off your life, and you sense the grace of God in your heart. You feel like a new person.
Your heart is yielded to Christ. Your allegiance is now Jesus as your highest priority. You choose to no longer lead your own life; you have decided to follow what Jesus says.
The pattern of your life begins to change. Sin loses its luster. Even when you fail from time to time, you don’t want to stay there like you used to, because you know it displeases Christ.
There may be times when you feel sinful, like a failure, disappointed with God or yourself, or discouraged. Remind yourself of what the Bible says: “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” John 5:24

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that:

You go from death to life spiritually.
You were blind but now you see spiritually.
You were once an enemy of God, but now He calls you His friend.
God adopts you into His family as His very own son or daughter.
These are incredible promises, and you can trust God’s Word even more than you trust yourself or your own feelings. You are a new creation.

INSPIRATION

When the commands of men, even of those in governmental or religious authority positions, conflict with the commands of God, we must obey God and not men. While Christians are supposed to submit to legitimate governmental authorities, they are instructed to practice "civil disobedience" if a law of man tells them to violate a law of God.

PRAYER
Lord, let us not be such as rebel against governments which you have ordained and pridefully say that we have no obligation to submit to man's laws. For there is no power but of God, and the powers that be are ordained of God (Romans 13). But let us also have courage to stand firm and resist if we are forced to choose between obeying you and obeying mere men. In Jesus Name....

Welcome to the journey of following Jesus

I am so happy you’ve decided to trust in Christ! Trusting and following Jesus is the best decision you could ever make!

Now I want to urge you to take some important first steps to follow Jesus.

God doesn’t simply want us to pray for forgiveness of our sins, although that is an important first step, but He also calls us to take steps to trust and follow Him every day of our life. There are many good things that will happen in your life as you follow Jesus – and you can be assured that God will continue working in your life as you do.

God takes us as we are, but He doesn’t leave us that way. He wants to do an amazing work in your life as you follow Him. We want to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus, because it will change your life for the better.
