India won 29 Medals in Paralympic Games 2024 and we won True Motivators. Taiwan's standout performances were also remarkable.

(India: 7 gold, 9 silver, and 13 bronze.
Taiwan won 12 medals; 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze).

(India) Here are some highlights:

Avani Lekhara

She is from Rajasthan, made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win two gold medals in a single Paralympic Games. She is a shooting champion and competes with a disability from a road accident.

Suhas Yathiraj

He from Karnataka, who’s also an IAS officer, won silver in badminton. He competes with a disability due to a post-polio condition.

Sumit Antil

Hefrom Haryana, won gold in the men’s javelin throw F64, setting new Asian and world records. He is a below-knee amputee due to a motorcycle accident.

Dharambir

He is also from Haryana, won gold in the men’s club throw F51 and set an Asian record. He competes with a disability resulting from polio.

Nitish Kumar

Another gold winner from Haryana, is an IIT graduate who lost his leg in a train accident but continues to shine in sports.

Mariyappan

He is from Tamil Nadu, raised by his mother and once a newspaper seller, excelled once again. He competes with a prosthetic leg due to a childhood accident. His success across three Paralympic Games is truly inspiring.
