It took two weeks of clean up and repair, but it's back.
The Hi-Life convenience store in front of Grand Hi-Lai Hotel was all but destroyed by Typhoon Karthon at the beginning of October '24.
They've installed metal roller doors over all the glass now, so the place can be secured during high winds.
Inside is pretty much the same layout, but newer.

It's wonderful to visit the beach!
It's pretty clean at Taiwanese beaches,
but there's still a little garbage and litter to be found.
Some of it washes in from the ocean,
but most of it is from beachgoers just leaving their trash behind.
This is the first time I've ever done this,
but I think I'll clean up at least a little every time I visit the beach in the future.
If we all do it, Taiwan's beaches will be sparkling!
