Contestant Introduction｜Composition Division｜Lee, Ling-Chiao

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Lee, Ling-Chiao started her music education at a very young age. She is currently a master’s student in the Department of Chinese Music, National Taiwan University of Arts. Majoring in Yangqin performance, she was tutored by Lin, Pei-Chuan, and now by Professor Chen, Shih-Yu. Lee has extensive experience in performing the Yangqin. Won the first place in the Yangqin solo category in the National Student Music Competition in 2017, 2019 and 2021 in the High School and College Group A; won the first place in the Yangqin category in the Taoyuan City Chinese Orchestra Instrumental Competition "Taoyuan Star" finals in 2022 In the same year, she was recommended by the National Music Department of the Southern Arts Institute to be selected for the Taipei City National Music Orchestra's "Who Will Take Over - Starry Project for Young Chinese Music Performers" and performed in concert with the Kaohsiung City Chinese Orchestra; in 2023, she will hold a solo concerto at the Kaohsiung City Music Hall. Yangqin solo recital. In the same year, invited by the Taiwan Yangqin Development Association, she premiered the composer Wang Yunya's work "Metamorphosis Fantasy" at the Taichung Opera House Small Theater, the Taiwan University of Arts Fuzhou Hall, and the Tainan Cultural Center Yuansheng Theater. During this period, she successively worked with conductor Qu, Chun-Quan, Ku, Pao-Wen, An, Jing-Ye, Ren, Yan-Ping and Lin, Yi-Hui collaborated to perform many yangqin concertos. She is currently a member of the Taiwan Yangqin Orchestra and the TCO Academy Chinese Orchestra.Currently, Lee is a member of Taiwan Yangqin Orchestra and TCO Academy Orchestra.

She started her journey of composing music tutored by Lee, Pei-Yi and now by Sung, Wan-Hua. Lee’s compositions include “Contrast”——For Yangqin and Piano and “Hope”——For Zhongruan and Piano.

高雄市人，畢業於臺南藝術大學中國音樂學系，主修揚琴，師事林佩娟老師；現就讀臺灣藝術大學中國音樂學系碩士班，師事陳思伃老師。於 2017、2019、 2021 年獲全國學生音樂比賽高中職 A 組、大專 A 組揚琴獨奏特優第一名；2022 年於桃園市國樂團器樂大賽《桃園之星》決賽獲揚琴組第一名與作曲家特別獎，同年獲南藝大國樂系推薦入選北市國「誰來接班—國樂青年演奏家繁星計畫」與高雄市國樂團協奏演出；2023 年於高雄市音樂館舉辦個人揚琴獨奏會，同年受台灣揚琴發展協會邀請，於臺中歌劇院小劇場、臺灣藝術大學福舟廳、臺南文化中心原生劇場，首演作曲家王韻雅作品《蛻變狂想》，此期間陸續與指揮家瞿春泉、顧寶文、安敬業、任燕平、林亦輝合作演出多首揚琴協奏曲。現為臺灣揚琴樂團與 TCO 學院國樂團團員。

學習創作之際，曾師事於李沛憶老師，現師事宋婉華老師，於 2023 年陸續發表創作，包含《對比》給揚琴與鋼琴、《盼》給中阮與鋼琴於高雄市音樂館首演。

Contestant Introduction｜Composition Division｜Liu De-Yi

Liu De-Yi is currently a senior at the Department of Chinese Music, National Taiwan University of Arts, majoring in Suona. He is currently under the tutelage of Professor LIN En-Hsu, and was initially instructed by Professor XU Guotang. He has also studied with Professors LIN Tzu-You, SUN Pei-Yuan, and LIN Jui-Ping. His minor is in music theory and composition, studying with Professor YANG Zuyou, and previously with Professors YANG Tsu-Yao, LIU Chih-Hsuan, TASI Liang-Hsiu, Lin Peijun, Wiwi KUAN, and LU Yun.

His works include First Movement of the Six Realms Suite: Heaven, Drunken Life, soka, The Legend of Aphrodite, A Moment, Lunar Eclipse, and The Legend of the White Deer. His work Paradise Bird for Chinese Orchestra won the First Prize of the 31st Taipei Traditional Instrument Competition organized by the TCO in 2024.

現為國立臺灣藝術大學中國音樂學系四年級，主修嗩吶，現師事林恩緒老師，啟蒙徐國棠老師，曾師事林子由、孫沛元、林瑞斌等老師。副修理論作曲，現師事楊祖垚老師，曾師事劉至軒、蔡良秀、林姵君、官大為以及陸橒老師。作品包括《六道組曲第一樂章天》、《酒醉人生》、《soka》、《阿芙蘿黛蒂傳》、《須臾》、《月食》、《白鹿傳說》，於 2024 年創作《樂園鳥》並獲得第31屆臺北市民族器樂大賽「2024TCO國際作曲大賽」首獎。

The updated sheet music for Lu Liang-Hui’s “Love at Xizi Bay” is now available. Participants are required to download and use the revised version for their performances. The updates are as follows:

1. About the Cadenza section in the piano accompaniment version has been updated to match the solo version.
2. The previous solo sheet music was missing a measure in measure 291, which has been corrected in the new version.
3. In the solo sheet music, measure 298 was incorrectly included. Please do not perform this measure (indicated by a cross on the sheet music).

THE JURY｜Violin Division｜Su, Shien-Ta
Su Shien-Ta, born in 1957 in Shanhua, Tainan, is a violinist and music educator. Su learned the violin from maestros Henryk Szeryng and Gérard Poulet studied and got his performer diploma for violinists and chamber music soloists from ÉCOLE NORMALE DE MUSIQUE DE PARIS. He received the“Ten Most Distinguished Youth Award” in 1995. In 1999, the album “Tyzen Hsiao’s Violin Works” in which Su performed, received the “Best Classical Record award” at the Golden Melody Awards. In 2002, his album “Classical Taiwan Rhythms” received the “Best Performer” award at the Golden Melody Awards. He received the Wu San Lian Art Award which was the first time this prestigious Art Award being awarded to a performing musician.

Su Shien-Ta has for long dedicated to musical education while keeping an active performing career. He is currently the Dean of the School of Music of Taipei National University of the Arts, and the concertmaster of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. He started to host a radio program called “The Enchanted World of Violin” as a program presenter since 1996, this program has gained prestige and profound reputation in the past twenty years.

五歲開始學琴，畢業於法國巴黎師範音樂學院，獲最高級小提琴及室內樂獨奏家文憑。留學法國時師承謝霖與普雷，深受其紮實內斂音樂表現之影響。

› 1995年獲得「十大傑出青年」獎項。
› 1999年所灌錄的「台灣情‧泰然心─蕭泰然小提琴作品專輯」獲得「最佳古典唱片」。
› 2001年的「古典台灣風情─黃偟小提琴小品精選」CD獲得˙「最佳演奏人」金曲獎。
› 2016年獲有「民間國家文藝獎」之稱的吳三連獎第39屆「藝術獎」之殊榮，為該獎音樂類藝術獎首位得獎的演奏家。

🎻演出及重要記事
› 2003年也榮獲國家兩廳院選為獨奏家系列音樂會之首場，演出全套布拉姆斯小提琴獨奏作品。
› 2006年舉行「自法返國20週年─顯樂‧達人」全台巡迴獨奏會，獲公共電視全程轉播。
› 2011年「自法返國25週年─走過1/4世紀的堅持」全台巡迴獨奏會，獲公共電視全程轉播。
› 2000年、2016年曾分別獲邀於總統副總統就職大典以及國宴中演奏、五度應邀至總統府演出。
› 2016年底於全台巡迴演出七場「自法返國30週年─蘇顯達的魔法琴緣」小提琴獨奏會獲熱烈迴響，該年亦出版《蘇顯達的魔法琴緣─真情台灣》專輯CD以及《蘇顯達的魔法琴緣─音樂態度，決定生命高度》自傳書。
› 2018年出版《花之夢》小提琴專輯CD。
› 2020年為國立臺北藝術大學「關渡藝術節藝術總監」，策劃台灣六大管絃樂團齊聚北藝大演出。
› 2021年舉行「蘇顯達自法返國35年」全台六場巡迴小提琴獨奏會。
› 2022年出版《拾光。電影故事（Timeless Cinema Collection）》電影音樂專輯CD。

🎶音樂教育
自法返國30多年來，投身於音樂教育不遺餘力，門下學生已有20多位取得博士學位，而考進國內外各大樂團者更不計其數。

› 2007-2013年擔任國立臺北藝術大學音樂系系主任以及管絃與擊樂研究所、音樂學研究所所長，「2021年榮獲北藝大「教學優良教師」獎項；2023年榮獲北藝大「終身特聘教授」榮譽。
› 2017～2023年擔任北藝大音樂學院院長。
› 目前擔任北藝大管弦與擊樂研究所小提琴教授。
› 自1988年起擔任台北愛樂管弦樂團樂團首席迄今已30年。
› 自1996年開始主持台北愛樂電台「迷人的小提琴世界」節。

THE JURY｜Composition Division｜LEE, Che-Yi
An inter-disciplinary music artist, composer, music producer, and harpist, Che-Yi Lee was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Since he started his music career, he has composed close to 2,000 works, arranged nearly 5,000 works, and produced approximately 120 albums and over 100 large-scale theatrical works. As a professional performer, he has performed in more than 2,000 concerts across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Lee was nominated for the “Golden Melody Awards” for 43 times and won Best Composer and Best Creation in the 23rd and 27th Awards respectively. In 2022, he was nominated for Best Original Film Score in the “Golden Horse Awards”. In 2015, he won Best Dance Music in the Hong Kong Dance Alliance Dance Awards. He was also a two-time winner of Best Classical Music Album in the “Top 10 Albums of the Year in China”. In 2010, he was nominated for Best Classical Performance Album in the “Chinese Music Awards”. In 1999, he won the third prize in the USA International Jazz Harp Competition – the first Asian winner since the founding of the Competition 21 years ago. He was the composer in residence of the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan in 2016, Music Director of the 28th to 30th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music, and Music Producer of the Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display from 2015 to 2017.

After years as a performer and composer, Lee felt deeply the importance of local cultures and a need to pass on the legacies. At the beginning of 2017, he co-founded the OneSong Orchestra with Rick Lei, an entrepreneur. He hopes to revive people’s memory of the local music and cultures and share them with a wider audience. Lee is the current Music Director and composer in residence of the OneSong Orchestra.

臺灣高雄人，跨領域的音樂藝術家，身兼作曲家、指揮家、音樂製作人及豎琴演奏家等。自從事音樂工作以來，作曲作品約近2,000首，各類編曲作品近5,000首，唱片製作逾120張，大型劇場作品一百多部；自開始其職業演奏生涯以來，累積演出經歷逾2,000場次以上，演出足跡遍及亞洲和歐美大陸。

🏆曾43次入圍「金曲獎」🏆
並於第23屆及27屆金曲獎榮獲最佳作曲人及創作獎，
第28屆至第30屆傳藝金曲獎音樂總監。
