I dj. Being the son of steelpan legend, Lennox "Boogsie" Sharpe, Aswaad was immersed into the world of music during the early stages of his childhood.

Aswaad Peters, known by his stage name DJ Aswaad, is an international DJ which currently holds the position as an on air DJ on Slam 100.5 HD FM, Trinidad & Tobago’s youth urban radio station. This led him to follow his father’s footsteps into the music industry and create his own path to success. At the young age of 17, Aswaad created his signature style of play with a distinct and unique fusion o

f old and new in a manner that set him apart from other young DJs. Career highlights:
• Radio DJ for 9 years:
SLAM 100.5FM: 2010 – Present
Red 96.7FM: 2008 – 2010

• Trinidad Carnival Road DJ for 10 years:
Island People Mas: 2010-2013
Tribe Carnival: 2014, 2015 and 2018 to Present
Fantasy Carnival: 2016 and 2017

• International Carnival Road DJ for:
One Island: Miami's Carnival band of the year 2016 and 2017. Fusion Mas St Lucia, Zulu International Barbados, Majesty Carnival St.Kitts

• Various local and international events hosted by BeachHouse, Tribe Carnival, Red Ants, Scorch, Fantasy Carnival, Caesars Army, Island People, and Trini Jungle Juice. Locations include Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, Miami, New York & England
