CONVULSIONS AND UPHEVALS HAVE LITTERED THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE FOR CENTURIES. LEADERS MUST USE THEIR SKILLS TO DEAL WITH SUCH SITUATIONS!

Clearly, the political system of first pass the post which the British colonial masters left for us has not served ouf best interests.Elections as we know them are battles for control of the Treasury and whoever win will feed their supporters. The rest of the population will have to make it how they can.It will be so wonderful if we could develop a political system which genuinely unites all of the people and give all equality of opportunity. In the meantime, we just got to choose those whom we believe could best serve our interests.

The THA 2021 election will pit two rising young politicians PNM Tracey vs PDP Farley fighting for the THA's top positlon.Since her return from her post as ambassador she has shown remarkable developmemt. Her statements has shown perception ( depth) and maturity. How she is able to navigate her way within the turbulent waters of PNM and Tobago poiitics could determine success or failure.PDP"s Farley is well loved. His simple rural style and his sense of academia are strong points.Does have the strategies and tactics needed to counter the PNM? Only time will tell. Where is independent candidate in the mix, apparantly, he Toney Hector is moving forward relentlestly. It seem we are in for a hot elecion campaign. More to come!

Leadership in these times must be about projecting unity, peace, love and ensuring that all of humanity share in the wealth of mother Earth. The dreaded ideas of hate , spite and vindictiveness for our fellow humas must be dumped in the waste paper basket of history.like Jesus said " peace on Earth goodwill to humankind".

All candiates contesting the THA elections must have as their first commandment " service to the people". Far too often we see good brothers and sisters get carried away when they attain high office. They become self centered and believe that they and they alone are God's gift to planet earth. They adopt a sense of arrogance forgetting that it is people who put them in office. We the people must make clinical analysis of all who are seeking office inorder to in office those who will be humble and respectful to the people they were elected to serve. As the election campaign heats up more views will be share!

African Trinbagonians the time is fast passing for some of you to stop using the race card for backward political interests. When some of us stood up for African conciousness during the 1970s it was because of the need to correct centuries of dislocation and dehumanisation we suffered during chattel slavery. As a result of the stand we took we faced the brutal wrath of the PNM govt led by Williams. Some of us who dared to stay the course in the struggle were beaten jailed and shot dead.We were chastised for promoting things African. Now it is indeed sad to see race hate politics being used to gain political office.Remember during the 1970s we stood for African lndian unity in Trinidad and Tobago. Those who are pushing race hate in TT are pushing an ungodly act.Jesus spoke of peace on earth goodwill to all humankind.

There was a time when only rich white people in Trinidad and Tobago had the right to vote according to the laws of the land.lt was a great struggle led by African Grenedian Buzz Butler and lndian Trini Cola Rienzi which won the right to vote for the mass of people in Trinidad.Bago s APT James was part of that struggle.lives were lost in the fight to win our voting rights. Voting is not a joke.It is serious buisness.you are giving your rights to someone to represent you for the next 5 years. You must choose that person who has the strength of conviction to stand strong and represent your interests.Power To The People!

The United States Russia China Cuba Iran and Venezuela are nations which experianced revolutionary Change at times in their history.we in TT went to England to beg the British for a little independence in we own land .As we know experiances shapes a peoples mindset.Back in1970 when many of us were trying to effect revo change in TT VENEZ AND US WAR SHIPS were called into TTwaters by the Williams led PNM Govt. Back then we saw ourselves as patriots willing to die for our beliefs. At present our people believe in the USA.Their mindset has been taken over by all things America. So I was not surprised to see how our our leaders capitulated after all the big talk
