We’re pleased that starting June 4, 2025, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines – one of the world’s oldest and most respected airlines – will begin direct flights to Guyana.
KLM will operate two weekly flights between Amsterdam and Georgetown, with a convenient stopover in Saint Maarten. The return flights will take you directly from Georgetown to Amsterdam!
Following Avianca Airlines’ recent announcement to start flights in December 2024, the addition of KLM strengthens Guyana’s appeal as a premier hub for tourism, business, and investment. With 27,872 annual seats added to the Georgetown market and a projected 1,000,000 passengers crossing our ports of entry by November, the future of Guyana’s aviation sector is soaring.
Over the last four years, major airlines like JetBlue, British Airways, SkyHigh, InterCaribbean, United Airlines, Avianca, and now KLM have made Guyana part of their routes. KLM’s arrival highlights our country’s strategic importance as a gateway to South America, boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange with Europe.
With KLM’s exceptional service, our nation’s connectivity to the world grows stronger than ever!
