Sent in with the caption “: This SRP refused to give his name and number accompanied by his colleague WPC Mohammed # 18877 attached to St James Barracks refused to assist a brother and his sister who wanted assistance to get home because she had an unsteady gait, was not verbally responsive and had no transportation on Park St San Fernando this am. We had to wait 2 hrs for the ambulance. Instead he said the police vehicle was filled with people (dressed in Jouvert clothes) stating they were officers off duty so they couldn't take them. He went on to say we lucky he stopped, mind you, we went to the middle of the road to stop the vehicle because a police bus with officers that passed before, stopped said they were full and drove off. This young man and sister was strangers to us but we stopped to assist them because that was the humane thing to do. The SRP went on to say that we shouldn't have stopped to help. This officer was disrespectful and unprofessional because it’s no reprimand for their actions to citizens.”
