Race 3 Results Are In

After some deliberation, the standings are settled, Justin Wortman takes pole, with Scott Sheppard in P2 and Christian Hospedales in P3.

Scott’s performance today is a standout, considering last season’s mechanical struggles… ha! A solid and consistent drive from both Scott and Justin to kick off the 2025 CSMS season.

The final race wasn’t without drama, an incident between Christian Hospedales and Brandon Singh, which sent Singh into the tyre barrier just before the checkered flag, sparked an investigation. Definitely a moment to remember...

Caster’s Cove was buzzing with excitement on Sunday as spectators packed the viewing deck, eager to witness the high-speed spectacle of Regatta #2.

This event was a real treat for fans, featuring Mr. Solo Too slicing through the water, followed closely by the powerhouse Mobil Tyrant.

As expected, the Bowen Yamaha Spec Class Racing delivered intense, edge-of-your-seat racing, while the lower classes kept the crowd captivated with thrilling battles of their own.

All in all, it was a day well spent. One thing is certain, we're all counting down to Regatta #3

Just two rounds into the 2025 Karting season, and the grid is already adapting well to the new track layout.

Event #2 welcomed Craig Sumair to the karting scene, a seasoned rally and circuit racer now adding karting to his motorsport resume.

In Rotax Senior, Alex Sharma leads the charge, but Ben Mahon is hot on his heels, just four points behind. Over in Rotax Mini, the young guns are battling fiercely, with Axl Garcia holding P1 with a commanding 32-point lead.

A standout in Sportsman, Abhishek Ramdeen continues to impress in his second year, leading the class by 38 points over Bhimsingh. Meanwhile, the Cadet class remains tightly contested, with only 11 points separating the top three.

The veterans in Sportsman Masters are putting up a fight, and a well-earned shoutout goes to Matias Morton-Gittens for claiming Driver of the Day.

The 2025 regatta season is officially underway. The yacht club was packed with boaters, powerboat enthusiasts, and families, all eager to witness the high speed action.

While the weather wasn’t ideal for sunbathers, it certainly added to the thrill on the water. The standout event of the day? The Bowen Spec Class, where the racing was fierce, the margins razor-thin, and a little rubbing. Among those caught in the action was Spec Miata driver Justin Wortman, pushing the limits alongside his throttleman, Robert Lobo.

Mobil Tyrant tore through the 95mph class, while Heatwave dominated the 80mph category.

And let’s take a moment to appreciate Rossi and Luke, who kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Give these guys a raise! 🤣

All in all, it was a fantastic day on the water and a strong start to an unforgettable powerboat racing season.

The revised layout, fresh tarmac, and unpredictable weather made for a challenging start at Event #1. One driver who seemed right at home with these changes was Logan Ross.

Backed by Mobil 1, Logan delivered a strong performance, even securing a third place finish in one of his races. His steady progress throughout the 2024 season has clearly paid off, and we’re eager to see how he builds on that momentum this year.
