At the beginning of the JAVA ; we made a list of things we needed to get done. Fun things- that mommy either hardly does/ we have been putting off/ things little miss loves to do.

Some were simple; like polish her toe nails. 😂

Time definitely goes by quickly!

JAVA is almost over; slow mornings are almost over.
I am about to have a daughter in Primary 1 (Standard 1) and little mister will be 3 soon (no school on the horizon just yet- trying to find the right fit- suggestions welcomed)

We will be soaking up the next 2 weeks before another hectic term!

How to channel fave shows into play time!

Having open ended toys allows kids to be creative. I am NOT a fan of themed toys. Since we started screen time and allowing cartoons: Paw Patrol has become a fave over here!

Spy his pup tower and the vehicles are some of the paw patrol vehicles. Such great imagination! And the best part is he built it all himself! Magnetic tiles help kids see patterns; build basic engineering skills- which structures will stand; the adjustments you need to make to get a structure to stand/ be stronger. They are one of our fave open ended pieces!

We do have a couple themed toys and I probably will get some more but open ended toys will always be a fave here.

The only Instrument to be invented in the 20th Century! We are proud to call it our own; our national instrument. The Steel Pan!

And at school little miss is being introduced to the instrument.
