Five Held, Three Fi****ms, Ammunition and Cannabis Seized

Five suspects were arrested and three fi****ms and quantities of ammunition and cannabis seized, by officers during ongoing anti-crime exercises conducted in the Central and Western Divisions yesterday.

Task Force and Gang Unit officers conducted an intelligence-led exercise in the Central Division, between 10 am and 6 pm, on Thursday 19th December, 2024, during which they proceeded to the Claxton Bay district.

There, they executed a search warrant at the home of a male suspect.

The search resulted in officers finding one firearm loaded with a magazine containing six rounds of ammunition and a quantity of cannabis in the house.

The suspect, who was on the premises at the time of the exercise, was arrested in connection with the finds.

Meanwhile, officers of the Western Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, conducted several exercises between 1:15 pm and 10 pm, yesterday, alongside Task Force officers.

Businessman Shot Dead After Being Followed from Bank

A businessman, identified as Jose Luis, was shot dead inside his vehicle at a jobsite in Bejucal Cunupia on Thursday, December 19, 2024.Details of the incident remain unclear, but it is believed that Luis was followed from a commercial bank after making a large cash withdrawal to pay his workers.
He was shot and died inside his Toyota Hilux, Reg. TDK 4816.

10 Arrested During Warrant Exercise in Southern Division
Ten persons were arrested during a warrant exercise in the Southern Division yesterday December 18th, 2024.

The exercise was conducted collaboratively among all stations in the Division during the hours of 10:00 a.m. on December 18th, 2024 and 1:00 a.m. this morning. The exercise was co-ordinated by Snr. Supt. Rodhill Kirk, Supt. Singh, ASPs Phillip,Jobe, and Insp Ramsaran. It was directly supervised by Cpl Madhoo.

The exercise resulted in the ex*****on of twenty-two warrants and ten persons being arrested: -

1.A 32-year-old man of Tarouba for four Affiliation Warrants.

2.A 54-year-old man of Golconda for two Affiliation Warrants.

3.A 33-year-old man of San Fernando for one Affiliation Warrant.

4.A 34-year-old of San Fernando for two First Instance Warrants.

5.A 46-year-old man of Cocoyea for one First Instance Warrant.

6.A 46-year-old man of Marabella for three Affiliation Warrants.

7.A 47-year-old man of Princes Town for four Affiliation Warrants.

8.A 38-year-old man Princes Town for two Affiliation Warrants.

9.A 44-year-old man of Princes Town for four Affiliation Warrants.
10. A 45-year-old man of Princes Town for one Affiliation Warrant.

Investigations are ongoing.
