📝 Language Mimicry Phenomenon 📖

Ever noticed how the more you read in a certain style, the more your writing starts to mimic it? Whether it’s formal academic papers or fun, creative stories, your brain starts absorbing patterns, vocabulary, and sentence structures without you even trying! This cool process is called language mimicry or style imitation. ✍️✨

It’s part of something called unconscious learning, where just by reading, you start to naturally adopt the tone and rhythm of what you’re consuming. 🤯

So if you’re prepping for something like IELTS or just want to improve your writing, dive into reading different types of texts – it’s an effortless way to level up your skills! 📚🔥

This should hit the right note for your audience!

Came across a recipe of eggplant jam. As if there weren’t enough kinds already… I mean are they supposed to be sweet in any way? Or is it just my narrow-mindedness talking here?🤔

🗣️IELTS Speaking sample answer:

🎂🎂🎂Which birthdays are the most important ones in your country?

🍸🍻🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒In my country, certain birthdays are considered really important milestones. For example, the 18th birthday is a big deal because it marks the transition into adulthood, where you gain more legal rights and responsibilities. The 20th birthday is another major one, especially since it’s often associated with full adult status.

After that, birthdays like the 30th, 40th, and 50th are also celebrated because they represent the start of new decades in life, which people often see as significant achievements.

👵🏻👴🏼The 70th and 80th birthdays are even more remarkable because they’re big achievements—reaching those ages is something to be proud of, and families usually come together to make those occasions extra memorable. People tend to reflect on their lives during these milestones, and it’s a great time for the family to show appreciation and love.

I’m Luiza Guliyeva, and I specialize in IELTS teaching. My educational background includes:

- A university degree in the English language
- An MBA (Master's degree in Business Administration)
- Cambridge-issued CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)

As a non-native speaker and an on-and-off IELTS test-taker, I understand the challenges candidates face. Because of this, I’ve created IELTS writing courses based on materials from Liz IELTS, the British Council, Collins, and other reputable sources.

I have 20 years of teaching experience, during which I’ve taught all levels and almost all ages—from 6 to 66 (and yes, I’m serious!). I’ve worked at language schools and university and eventually transitioned to online teaching in recent years. Currently, I focus on creating digital materials and providing speaking and writing assessments, rather than giving regular classes.

P.S. I’m often asked, "Where are you from?" The answer is that I’m originally from Azerbaijan, the land of fire 🇦🇿🔥, but I’m currently living in Turkey 🇹🇷.
