Epic Golden Horde Historical Project Set to Begin Filming Fall 2024
The “Dara” Foundation for Presidential Initiatives, in partnership with Karga Seven Pictures, has begun production of a six-episode English-language hybrid documentary-drama series focusing to the life of Jochi Khan, the eldest son of Genghis Khan.
The series will follow various stages of the Golden Horde Empire through the perspective of Jochi Khan.
Karga Seven Pictures will be producing with Emre Şahin, leading creative. Principal photography is slated for fall 2024 in Kazakhstan, Turkey, and the US.
Karga Seven Pictures has produced such hit hybrid docudramas as “Rise of Empires: Ottoman” and “Testament: The Story of Moses” for Netflix, both which went on to become global sensations reaching millions of viewers (Testament was the #1 show in the world and Top 10 in over 90 countries - both seasons of Rise of Empires were global Top 10).
