We are pleased to announce that Erkan Sönmez has joined our esteemed roster of endorsers.

He has played drums for many great artists like Levent Yüksel, Erdem Sökmen Quartet, Cem Çatık Trio, to name a few. Also, he's just wrapped up recording his debut album under the moniker "Habitat" and is gearing up for it's release.

Erkan is one of the young composers and drummers we are excited to see in Turkey's jazz scene. We are happy to welcome him here at Leon Cymbals.

The man!!! Our founder, the name himself, grand cymbal master, our genius, one of the best cymbal maker ever, but above all, our family, someone we call first when we have any problem or something ecxiting to share.

You can argue how life should be lived or how intonation differs according to acoustics or anything with him and be asured, he will generate the most unique ideas, yet this won't be all. He will create and solve everything for those ideas to become reality. This guy is one of the most special person you can ever meet and we all feel extremely lucky. Happy birthday brother, you are one of the kindest, smartest and funniest man. We love you ❤️❤️❤️

Little did I know when finally able to book a studio for work abroad with my band Zettai. Determined though, to demolish labor day and get this first album out there. Thanks to Dark city studios and Morsy who joined the session everything went well and we could stop halfway the afternoon: still 25% solidarity.

We are one of the few cymbal atelier left, which still uses century-old methods of production. We make our custom bronze with coal fire, temper our cymbals in a wood owen and finish our cymbals with our hands. Why it's important? What's the huge diffrence? Hit us up and lets geek out. ☺️👋✌️
