FC Fassell Liberia CEO, Cassell Kuoh has revealed plans to construct a new stadium value at 4.5 Million United States Dollars but with an initial investment of six hundred and fifty thousand United States dollars [US$650K] thatβll be use as the club official home ground In Marshall on the outskirts of the city.
The stadium when constructed in approximately eight months will host a main pitch, mini sitting capacity, bathrooms, home-and-away change rooms among other things for starters with the addition of other features in compliance with CAF/FIFA approved standards that adheres to basic safety, performance and durability standards.

Businessman, Cassell Anthony Kuoh, through his New Energy Electric Vehicles-Liberia company has started the distribution of US$65,000 to 13 clubs in the Liberia Football Association National League.
Each of the 13 clubs will receive an amount of 5,000 with the money given in two instrument of 2500 for pre-season and 2500 for the mid-season for the 2024/2025 football season in Liberia.
This initiative by the former Liberia Football Association Vice President for Operations is to help ease the financial burden on clubs due to the economic hardship in the country.

SWAL Describes 2024 National SPORTS BUDGET as Total MOCKERY
Monrovia - The Sports Writers Association of Liberia - SWAL has described as mockery, the allotments made for sports development in the 2024 national budget.
In a press statement, SWAL said it's disheartening that sports, particularly football continue to receive back-kick , despite the presence of several sporting personalities, including two former Presidents of the football association, representative Musa H.Bility and Senator Edwin M.Snowe at the National Legislature.
With over US$7 million in the 2024 national budget for the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS), US$150,000.00 was allotted each for the National football and the National County Sports Meet (NCSM).
Table Tennis Association got 258 USD, Up Country Basketball got an allocation of US$3,691, while Grassroots Sports Development: received US$1,230.00 and Liberia Chess Federation was allotted US$1,230.00.
Two hundred forty six dollars (US$246.00) was also allotted for the Liberia Volleyball Federation, while the Track and Field got US$246.00 and Liberia own discipline, the Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) was allocated US$738.00.
Africa triple champions, the National Amputee Team was given US$3,400.00, with Liberia Karate Federation being allotted US$258.00.
The Liberia Athletic Federation (LAF) received US$24,276.00. Disgustingly, US$1,230.00 was allocated for Liberia's second most popular sport, Basketball and Inter School Sports Association received an allotment of 492 USD.
In total, a little over US$3,37,000.00 was appropriated for Sports, one of the least allotments in recent years.
SWAL wonders how the legislators, many of whom are high-ranking sports enthusiasts put pens to papers to approve US$1,230 .00 for basketball and US$150,000.00 for national football for example?
The Sports writing body believes the amount allotted to the various disciplines do not manifest the current financial challenges facing the sporting sector.
The organization asserted that sports is a key area of employment whether short or long term for vast majority of young people, as such, government must express willingness to support the sector.
SWAL lamented further that the allotments made for the national teams, kickball, Basketball and Volleyball federations are pocket change that will further strangulate those disciplines.
The Press Union Of Liberia (PUL) auxiliary emphasized that, if the Boakai-Koung leadership is serious about the so-called RESCUE and ARREST agendas, it must be holistic, instead of giving a blind-eye to the important role of sports in national development.
SWAL is there calling on Sports stakeholders to join hands and vigorously campaign for increments in the next budget.

The Government of Liberia has announced the removal of former national team player Christoph Wreh from the Ministry of Information payroll
The Ministry alleged that the former Lonestar and Arsenal playmaker was receiving US$1000 monthly without a record of reporting to work for the last six years.
Meanwhile, all effort to speak with the former Lonestar forward about the allegation did materiallize up to press time.

Real Muja has confirmed that two of their players have signed a four-year deal each, with Danish Club AC Horsen! Al-Haji Samukai and Emmanuel Favor Fully departed Liberia on Sunday, July 7th via Robert International Airport, to join the rest of their teammates in training camp for the coming Danish league season 2024/25, both players will arrive in Denmark on Monday afternoon and be unveiled to their new club officially.

According to FC Fassell CEO Cassell Kuoh, the Liberia Football Association rejected his donations of a US $5000 motivation package for the Liberia Womenβs U-17 team ahead of the Nigeria U-17 encounter.
He revealed that the President of the LFA Mustapha Raji said he doesn't know the source of income so he cannot accept his funds.

The government has provided over US$309,000 for Lonestar 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers games against Namibia π³π¦ on the 5th of June and SΓ£o TomΓ©πΈπΉ on June 9th. Lonestar will travel to South Africa to face Namibia away then move up to the north in Morocco for SΓ£o TomΓ©. Neither one of them has an approved stadium.
