In 2019, UNICEF helped facilitate more than 21 million birth registrations in 47 countries. With proof of identity, children can be included in education, healthcare and be better protected from exploitation.
These children will grow up in a post-COVID-19 world. We owe it to them to respond, recover and reimagine a better world for them to thrive in.
