- 8.30 น. -ทำพิธีกรรม และเก็บกระดูก
-10.30 น. - ไปลอยอังคารที่วัดชัยมงคล ที่แม่น้ำปิง และรวยดอกไม้

To all of Dr. Deja Suthikant's beloved friends,
Our family would like to share that Deja passed away on Nov 3, 2015 at noon in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was shopping at the Central Festival mall and fell ill. The medics came and he was sent to the hospital. He passed away quickly. The autopsy stated coronary artery disease.
On Sunday Nov 8, 2015:
Chiang Mai Medical School University
His Medical School friends Class #3 prepared for his funeral.

7.30pm: The monks pray for 2 hours, preparing for the funeral.
On Monday Nov 9, 2015:
Wat Prahsing Temple
The day of the funeral.
10am: Monks begin prayer.
11am: Monks eat lunch, provided by Deja's family.
11:30am: Friends and family eat lunch.
12:30pm: Casket taken from temple to Hang Yahh funeral tomb.
1pm: Gifts given to monks to bring Deja to the heavens.

Democracy! Is Thailand ready for it?
Good things are always good, at any place, at anytime and for anybody. Don't be stupid and let anybody talk you to think otherwise!

No system is perfect, but there's one that has proved to be better than any other systems, that is democracy. The true democracy makes it very difficult for corrupted politicians of all shades, including soldiers turn politicians to cheat people of money, freedom and human rights. The principles of democracy are simple as: 1. Everybody is born equal, 2 everybody is entitled to basic human rights the same and equally, 3 the government is of the people, by the people, for the people, 4. the people means majority, that is majority rule, 5 government consists of three executive branches with separation of authority, power and responsibilities but in check and balance with the limits that..All 3 forms of the government operate on the aforementioned Rule #1-4 with responsibilities defined by the constitution and cannot exceed or go beyond the limits. In Thailand, if these principles are approved by people, then the preexisting laws before the coup can be reenacted, the election process can begin, the democracy will be here along with its growing pain, but there is no pain, there will be no gain; and if the Thai people are not spoiled brats, they will learn to deal with it, and if no external power with guns to carpetbag so-called crisis, Thailand will survive and prosper!

As has been said before many times on this subject, Democracy is a weak and fragile structure. It's kind of like the honor system where it is assumed that everybody will follow the rules. It requires its politicians to have at least a modicum of integrity and some willingness to work toward a better future for the country. Otherwise it is susceptible to morphing into a corrupted money and power manufacturer for those voted into its control in sham, purchased elections.

John Kerry , US Secretary of State, told a Thai reporter that an election doesn't guarantee good government. There has to be decent people running for office and an honest election procedure.

Thailand, due to its patronage system, cronyism, and nepotism has never had a Democracy. That's what the reform efforts are all about. It will still take probably a generation for the reforms to become ingrained and totally effective, There has to be strong checks-and-balance systems in place, such as the Courts and the NACC, to help keep politicians in line.

And yet good ideas that have not been put to use are just ideas, no better than dreams and figments of imagination that soon will fade away. Who could imagine that he French Revolution by French poor workers would profoundly altered the course of modern history, not only in France but throughout the world to become the most important event in human history.

The modern era of the grass-root has unfolded in the shadow of the French Revolution. Almost all future revolutionary movements looked back to the Revolution., such as the Russian Revolution, as their model.

the Revolution further on led to many healthy developments that benefits all humanity as follows:
1. the steep decline in the feudal system globally, the abolition of the privileges of noble birth, and the establishment of equality, and the simplification of life,
2. The French Revolution accelerated the rise of republics and democracies,
3.it became the focal point for the development of all modern political ideologies, such as liberalism, radicalism, nationalism, 6. its Declaration of the Rights of Man, expanded the arena of human rights to include women and slaves, leading to movements for abolitionism and universal suffrage in the next century.

As Armstrong's words are echoed: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Good thoughts remain merely thoughts until you put them into actions.....
And I never see what has been done; I only see what remains to be done...
Everybody is born the same, but the ones who are successful are those who have the coourage and finally....

Comment of Deja Suthikant: I never dreamed of doing a business after I retired as a medical doctor having practiced for almost 50 years, but I did enter into businesses at the age of 68, unknowingly of the obstacles ahead of me, which at times were overwhelming. List of my top obstacles: police not knowing the laws and not doing their jobs, governmental and municipal officers who bossed me around and had no-caring attitude, corruptions at all levels, multiple layers of bureaucracy, red-tapes and unreasonable, restrictive and complicated trade laws and regulations , the country-side local influences, and local discrimination against outsider and worst of all cheating employees and traders whom I bought stuffs and services from. I felt like I had to watch my back all the times so I would not be stabbed in the back. The government employees never helped me when I asked for help except two occasions. When I asked Chiangmai district police chief to intervene when the intake police officer refused to call in the employee who stole the master discs of my music with investment over 7 million baht for interrogation and she ordered him to do so. The boy came in to return the disc in half an hour after he received the police call! At other time, I asked for help from Prime Minister Yingluck's office to intervene after I paid Hod Ditrict Electric Authority over half a million and waited for 6 month to get the electrcitry started even with my persistent inquiries to the director. Even though, I had been a vocal critic of her, she facilitated the request and the electricity got started within three days of my request! Thanks to the Police Commander and Ms. Yingluck from the bottom of my heart!

Deja Suthikant Thank you, Friend. It is my old habit to free associate, speak my mind. It is therapeutic. It works for psychiatric patients. It works for the psychiatrist too.
Friend: will it work for the friends of the psychiatrist?

Deja Suthikant It will work for anybody. The truth is like a bitter medicine, it tastes bad but once it has been absorbed it goes to the brain to relieve the burden of stress in the emotional brain (hippocampus and amygdala) and then it stimulates the thinking brain (Pre-frontal lobe) to search for the new insight. Once the mission is accomplished, the final message goes to the Pleasure Center and thence forward you feel content. The key factor to the succesful mission is "You don't give a damned what other people think about you as long as yo believe that you ar doing the right thing. After all, they don't feed you or house you and they have biases (ิอุปธานและภวังคจิต)" That why Buddha said "The #1 factor for successful living is truth: #2 policy is not needed, truth is enough!"

Traditional Thai musical instruments (Thai: เครื่องดนตรีไทย)
According to Wikipedia, traditional Thai musical instruments are the musical instruments used in the traditional and classical music of Thailand. They comprise a wide range of wind, string, and percussion instruments played by both the Thai majority as well as the nation's ethnic minorities.
In the traditional Thai system of organology, they are classified into four categories, by the action used in playing:
1. Plucking (plucked string instruments; เครื่องดีด, khrueang dit) are lutes and similar structures
2. Bowing (bowed string instruments; เครื่องสี, khrueang si) similar to guitar and violin
3. Striking (percussion instruments and hammered dulcimer; เครื่องตี, khrueang ti) such as drum and bamboo xylophone
4. Blowing (wind instruments; เครื่องเป่า, khrueang pao)
All Traditional instruments are used all over the country but some are preferred in different part of the country
The Northern musical instruments that are
used in the Northern Thailand are
• Salor (สะล้อ): Thai version of fiddle…. - a bowed fiddle with three strings and a free bow. The resonator is made of coconut shell cut off on one side.
• Sueng - is a plucked string instrument, made of teak or hardwood. A round sound hole is cut on the top soundboard.
• Khlui - flutes.
• Pi reed pipe - a double reed oboe that resembles the saranai or chani but larger in size; it is made of wood and usually accompanies the large gong.
• Phin phia The body is made from a coconut shell., it is similar to lutes

Northeastern Thailand’s musical instruments are dominated by Kan and Vote
Kan is Thailand Northeastern Thailand’ indigent reed mouth organ.
Vode is Northeastern Thailand’s indigent pan pipe.

Traditional musical instruments in the Central Thailand
Usually the traditional music in central Thailand is the mixture of all music in the country. The following musical instruments as follow are widely used:

Kim (string)

Ranad (percussion)

Flute and drum

Traditional musical instruments in Southern Thailand
Music in Southern Thailand echoes the sound of the ocean waves hitting the shores. The main feaurre in its repertoire are
• Thap - The goblet-shaped drum used for providing the changes of rhythm and also for supporting rhythm of the Nora (Southern dance drama).
• Glong nora - Klong nora or Klong nang: a barrel-shaped drum used to accompany the Nora dance or the Nang talung (Shadow puppet) performance
• Mong ching - Mong and Ching: two important percussion instruments used for accompanying the Nora dance (dance drama) and the Nang talung (shadow puppet) performance.
• Khong khu - pair of small bossed gongs suspended horizontally in a wooden box; used in theater music and music of southern Thailand
• Pi - a quadruple-reed oboe type with six finger holes producing at least three octaves of pitches range.
• Trae phuang - Trae phuang or Krap phung: a percussion used to provide rhythmic punctuation of the Nora ensemble.]

Love and life of the Thai Northerners
ชีวิตและความรักของชาวเหนือ
นักแต่งเพลงมักจะมีจินตนาการ และสามารถแต่งเพลงถึงสถานที่ที่ไม่เคยไป ความรักที่ไม่เคยมี ความสุขที่ไม่เคยประสพไ้อย่างน่าเชื่อถือ ทำให้ผู้ฟังหลงผิดไปว่าศิลปินนั้นแต่งเพลงมาจากประสบการณ์จริงของตัวเอง
Songwriters usually have big imaginations. They can write songs about place they’ve been, love they’ve never have, and happy moments that they’ve never experienced. And they are believable, they do not only make listeners believe that they have really been there but the listeners have been there with them too!
ผมเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีของคนที่มีจินตนาการ ผมแต่งเพลงอีสาน 40 เพลง แต่ใช้เวลาที่หนองคาย 2 วันและที่โคราช 4 วัน จังหวัดอื่นไม่เคยไปแต่แต่งเพลงทุกจังหวัดและบางอำเภอ บางเพลงก็มีคนชอบเช่นเพลงบรรเลงเสียงเพลงจากขอนแก่น ที่เขียนได้เพราะรักคนอีสานจริงๆ
I am one of those who have the big imagination. I for example wrote 40 songs about the Northeast Thailand and have been in that part of the country only 6 days 2days in Nongkai and 4 days in Koraj but managed to write songs about the all 20 provinces in Northeast and more based on the reading, imagination and most of all, the love for Northeast people! Some of the songs are quite well liked by the Youtube users.

One of my managers told me about his experience as a fisherman at the age of 14 in the Gulf of Siam and the cruelty he received on the fishing boat, A few years, later his story was validated by the news that Indonesia protested to the Thai government of the maltreatment of the Thai fishermen by the Thai employers in the sea of Indonesia. Prow boy and Sunkumpang girl
This song is based on the story told to me by my employee from Sunkumpang how he got his wife to marry him. She told him that he had to prove himself that he could be a good provider by working with her father in his Lumyai orchard for a few days. He agreed and worked for them for a few days and then ran off and back home> nevertheless her father was impressed with the quality of his work and invited him to finish his work that he left off. Offerings to the spirit. I learned about this ritual from one of my drivers who asked me to loan him 3000 baht that he would give to the parents of his girlfriend to conduct the ritual of providing the offerings to familial spirits that were upset because he had violated one of their girls without being married and make amended with them.
