Another remarkable work by Richard Strauss, “Feierlicher Einzug,” also known as “Fanfare for the Solemn Procession of the Knights of the Order of St. John,” was composed in 1909 for this historic society established in Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Initially written for a brass ensemble, Strauss later adapted it for a full orchestra, making it a highly recommended piece for concert openings. 🌟
