WCDMA
(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access)

WCDMA evolved from GSM.
WCDMA is different from GSM in terms of usage and faster service. It is being developed to create a new standard for real-time multimedia, including the use of international roaming, which is supported by the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and specifies the use of a frequency of 2 GHz for third-generation communications. The incoming signal will be converted into a digital signal and sent as a signal band password distributed to various signal waves.

We can consider the 1980s as the first major step in the development of the mobile networks used today.
These early mobile networks, which we call 1G, used analog technology, and examples include AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone System) in the United States and the NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephone) System in Europe.

👉2G: The Advent of Digital Communications

As a component of IEEE 802.11, it is a wireless LAN standard for device communication. It is a kind of radio wave that is utilized for small device communication, much like Bluetooth and cellular networks.

Wireless Access Point (AP) and Wireless Client are the two primary devices; nevertheless, we are more familiar with the name "wireless router" because most home internet providers add router features to the AP, like DHCP distribution or NAT creation for a private network. However, WiFi is a technology that only operates on OSI Layers 1 and 2.

In 1999, the Wi-Fi Alliance asserted that "Wi-Fi" was merely a trademark. The term "Wi-Fi" actually has no meaning and does not refer to the precision of wireless transmissions.
