IELTS Speaking test မှာ band score မြင့်မြင့်ရဖို့အတွက် mistake တွေကို သိထားဖို့နဲ့ ရှောင်ရှားတတ်ဖို့ လိုပါတယ်

1. Memorizing Answers
• Answer တွေကို အကုန်အလွတ်ကျက်ပြီး ပြောတာမျိုး မလုပ်သင့်ပါဘူး
• Examiner တွေက အလွတ်ကျက်ပြီး ပြောထားတဲ့ answer တွေကို ချက်ချင်း သိနိုင်ပါတယ်
• ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ language skill ကို အမှန်တကယ် ပြနိုင်တဲ့ natural ကျတဲ့ answer တွေကိုပဲ ပြောသင့်ပါတယ်

2. Speaking Too Softly or Without Confidence
• အသံတိုးတိုးလေးနဲ့ ပြောတာ၊ eye contact မလုပ်ဘဲ ပြောတာတွေက confident မရှိသလို ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်
• Natural conversation တစ်ခုလို examiner နဲ့ စကားပြောတဲ့အခါ clear ဖြစ်တဲ့ အသံနဲ့ သင့်တော်တဲ့ eye contact ထားပြီး ပြောရပါမယ်

9. Overuse of Fillers

ဒီနေ့ sharing လုပ်ပေးမှာက Teacher တစ်ယောက်အနေနဲ့ test တွေရေးဆွဲတဲ့အခါ အရေးကြီးဆုံး စဉ်းစားရမယ့်အရာတွေထဲက တစ်ခုဖြစ်တဲ့ validity အကြောင်းပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Validity ဆိုတာ test တစ်ခုက ကိုယ်တိုင်းတာချင်တဲ့အရာကို တကယ်တမ်း တိုင်းတာနိုင်စွမ်း ရှိမရှိကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ Test တွေရဲ့ validity နဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး teacher တွေအနေနဲ့ အဓိက သိထားသင့်တဲ့ အမျိုးအစား 3 မျိုးရှိပါတယ်။

Types of Validity

1. Content Validity
Content validity ဆိုတာ test က course objectives တွေနဲ့ ကိုက်ညီမှုရှိမရှိကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ Course မှာ သင်ထားတဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာတွေကို test က သင့်တော်တဲ့ပုံစံနဲ့ cover လုပ်နိုင်ဖို့ လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ - English course တစ်ခုမှာ reading, writing, listening, speaking ဆိုပြီး skills 4 မျိုးလုံး သင်ထားတယ်ဆိုရင် test မှာလည်း ဒီ skills 4 ခုလုံးကို သင့်တော်သလို စစ်ဆေးနိုင်ဖို့ လိုအပ်ပါတယ်။

2. Construct Validity
Construct validity ကတော့ ကိုယ် test လုပ်ချင်တဲ့အရာကို တိကျမှန်ကန်စွာ တိုင်းတာနိုင်မှု ရှိမရှိကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ Test တစ်ခုရဲ့ format, မေးခွန်းပုံစံတွေ၊ marking scheme တွေဟာ တိုင်းတာလိုတဲ့ skill နဲ့ ကိုက်ညီမှုရှိရပါမယ်။ ဥပမာ - speaking skill ကို test လုပ်မယ်ဆိုရင် multiple choice questions တွေနဲ့ စစ်တာထက် presentation လုပ်ခိုင်းတာ၊ interview လုပ်တာက ပိုပြီး construct validity ရှိပါတယ်။

3. Positive Washback
Positive washback ဆိုတာ test က student တွေရဲ့ learning process ကို ဘယ်လောက်အထိ အထောက်အကူပြုသလဲဆိုတာကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။ Test တစ်ခုဟာ student တွေရဲ့ သင်ယူမှုကို တိုးတက်စေတဲ့ နည်းလမ်းတစ်ခုလည်း ဖြစ်သင့်ပါတယ်။ Student တွေဟာ test ကို ပြင်ဆင်ခြင်း၊ ဖြေဆိုခြင်းကနေတစ်ဆင့် သင်ခန်းစာအကြောင်း ပိုမိုနက်နဲစွာ နားလည်လာစေရပါမယ်။

How to Enhance Validity

1. Test Specifications ရေးဆွဲခြင်း

Test specifications တွေကို ရှင်းလင်းတိကျစွာ ရေးဆွဲရပါမယ်။ တိုင်းတာမယ့် constructs တွေအကြောင်း သိသမျှ အချက်အလက်တွေကို ထည့်သွင်းစဉ်းစားရပါမယ်။ Specification တွေထဲမှာ test objectives တွေ၊ format၊ marking criteria တွေ၊ time allocation စတာတွေ အသေးစိတ် ပါဝင်သင့်ပါတယ်။

2. Direct Testing အသုံးပြုခြင်း

ဖြစ်နိုင်တဲ့နေရာတိုင်းမှာ direct testing ကို အသုံးပြုသင့်ပါတယ်။ Direct testing ဆိုတာ တိုင်းတာလိုတဲ့ skill ကို တိုက်ရိုက် test လုပ်တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ - reading comprehension ကို စစ်မယ်ဆိုရင် passage တစ်ခုဖတ်ပြီး နားလည်မှုကို တိုက်ရိုက်စစ်တဲ့ မေးခွန်းတွေ ထည့်သွင်းရပါမယ်။

3. Scoring System ကိုက်ညီအောင် လုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်း
