In an article,🚶 "Walking Stability and Risk of Falls🚶, in Bioengineering MDPI by Arunee Promsri, Prasit Cholamjiak, and Peter Federolf, studied the correlation between walking stability and two clinical markers for falling risk.

Based on current findings, suggest that the inherent impacts of walking stability should be considered for fall investigation, prevention, and rehabilitation, not particularly in healthy older adults but also in frail, older adults and individuals with neurological or musculoskeletal impairments.

Recently published in Symmetry_MDPI, "Application of the q-Homotopy Analysis Transform Method to Fractional-Order Kolmogorov and Rosenau–Hyman Models within the Atangana–Baleanu Operator" by Kamsing Nonlaopon and colleagues, apply the q-homotopy analysis transform method (q-HATM) to compute the numerical solution of the fractional-order Kolmogorov and Rosenau–Hyman models.

The results show that the q-HATM is an effective and accurate method for solving fractional-order models. It can overcome challenges that other solutions are difficult to obtain, due to the non-linearity and non-locality of the equations.

Welcome to read 🛜 Indoor Positioning System (IPS) Using Ultra-Wide Bandwidth (UWB)—For Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) 🛜 recent publication in Sensors MDPI by Qasim Zeeshan Ahmed and colleagues

Currently, many companies have started to adopt ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for precise tracking and navigation systems. For example, the iPhone-13 contains UWB for precise location tracking, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra uses UWB as a digital key for doors and cars. Hence, this paper thoroughly evaluates the advantages and limitations of using machine learning algorithms for ultra-wideband indoor positioning systems.

🌏🍍 From Pineapple Waste to Biodegradable Film: A Single Use Plastic Substitute! 🍍🌏

A published article "Toward a Circular Bioeconomy: Exploring Pineapple Stem Starch Film as a Plastic Substitute in Single Use Applications", in Journal Membranes MDPI by Taweechai Amornsakchai and colleagues, successfully developed a biodegradable starch film from pineapple stem waste.

The researchers conducted tests to adjust the mechanical properties of the film (i.e., modulus, strength, and elongation at the break) ensuring it covered a wide range to suit different intended applications. Making it an interesting choice as a substitute for non-biodegradable petroleum-based films for single-use.
