But it is with its second part, Silent Hill 2 released in 2001, that the franchise will truly make a name for itself in the industry, considered then as one of the best games of its kind.But after its hit in the early 2000s, Konami's franchise gradually lost its splendor, so many fans eventually lost interest, at least until 2014, with the appearance of the game P.T., a demo which once again succeeded in seducing players, and which above all announced the return of the franchise with a brand new gamebaptized Silent Hills. Furthermore, the project brought together the famous Hideo Kojimaknown in particular for the series Metal Gear Solidand more recently for Death Stranding, but also director Guillermo del Toro and mangaka Junji Ito, a true Japanese master of horror. But despite the enthusiasm of the fans for the project, the latter will unfortunately end up canceled.Since then, fans have been hoping to see the return of this now iconic horror gaming franchise, awaiting a new project announcement.
