Next, make up your mind to partner with your spouse to weather this storm together.

Food prices will go up!

House rents will go up!

Transport fare will go up!

School fees will go up!

Your dependent relatives will make more demands on you!

Your salary is unlikely to go up at least in the short term but trust God for the better.

For business owners, your prospective customers will have smaller disposable income and so our sales income may drop but God will take care of you and the business in the meantime.

Your wife is not your enemy.

Your husband is not your enemy.

Today when you get home, hug each other tightly.

Tell yourselves, "We are in this together. We will go through this storm as a team."

Over the next couple of days, repeat this activity.

Renewed Hope is activated & Nigeria shall be great again.

Do you know that a hurting person will hurt others? I've learnt that there's no perfect human being.

Never expect people not to hurt you. As long as we still wear the jacket called BODY, you will hurt others and others will hurt you.

We get frustrated when we get hurt isn't it? We get frustrated because we told ourselves that our loved ones will not hurt us and when they did we get sad, angered, bitter and frustrated.

Please change your mindset because those that will hurt you are not strangers but your loved ones (those that are close to you).

Learn to accept and understand people for who they are, be yourself, trust God and do good consistently.

Remain constant in loving others and doing good. Don't try to retaliate or seek revenge. Don't allow others change you from being who you are. SHALOM.

Hurray! Am 20 years old today in marriage with my best friend. How time flies! I will thank God for sparing my life to celebrate again. It's been sweet married to my husband. We started the journey, made our mistakes, God helped us correct our errors and now we are grown and still growing. Many more years to us my love. I asked the Lord to help me spend many more years together with you serving the Lord and humanity.

*Family Devotion and Quiet time - Relationship not a Ritual.*

Quiet time, is stated as heart-to-heart time or one-on-one time with the creator, it is a regular individual session of Christian spiritual activities, such as prayer, private meditation, contemplation, worship of God or study of the Bible while family devotion involves every member of the family.

Quiet time and family devotion are equally important none supersede the other or should be replace with the other.

Most of the time, once we get married, we replace quiet time with family devotion instead of adding family devotion to quiet time before we know we lose our lonely touch with the saviour.

We need family devotion for corporate prayers (one will chase 1000 and two will chase 10000), to teach our children how to pray and study the word but then that should not take the take of quiet time.

Family devotion should even be a training ground where our children are taught quiet time, so that as they become teenagers, they should be able to have a time alone with their saviour.

In conclusion, our family devotion and quiet times are to be done with the right reason.
Do not become devoted to the habit, but to the Saviour.
Spend time in the Word and prayer not because other people are doing it, not as a spiritless duty every morning, not merely as an end in itself but because God has granted us the priceless privilege of fellowship with Him.

Good day lovely people following this page. I give praise to God for your lives. Thank you for following this page. I deeply appreciate you all. Your liking this page especially when I wasn't posting as a result of health challenge, is spurring me on to do more. Thank you. I just want to encourage us today because that's how I felt when I woke up today.

Remember to thank God for this year, what He did and hasn't done and in the same vein, start planning what God will have you do for Him and humanity in 2022.

As for me, I already know what He would have me do in the new year, I've got it planned out all I need is to begin to act upon it.

There's need for you to pause, appraise 2021, celebrate your wins, don't brood too much over your mistakes or failures, learn from them and be a better person in 2022.

For me, 2022 is here already! Why that statement you maybe wondering. The answer is whatever you want to start doing in 2022, you can start it now!

You want to learn a new skill? Start now!

You want to behave better, have good attitude, manners and character? Start now!

You want to finish reading the Bible from page to page? Start now!

You want to start saving and investing? Start now!

What about soul winning that is an important aspect of being a Believer in Jesus? Start now!

Set out time to pray, seek the face of the Lord concerning 2022 before the end of this year. Receive directions and instructions from the Lord. Do not enter 2022 anyhow.

Don't give room for bitterness, sadness, negativity, jealousy, envy, unforgiveness etc. These are enemies that has ability to s***f life, energy and hope out of any man or woman.

Count your blessings and not your losses. Be positive minded and things will change for good in 2022.

I want to leave you with a slogan I just coined for myself drawing from my father's in faith. "NOW THAT THE SIEGE IS OVER, I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THEN GOODNESS AND MERCY WILL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE"

In John 6:12, we saw in my last post how the Lord Jesus handled leftovers. He said it emphatically, "do not allow anything to waste". Prov18:9 says a waster and the slothful will end same way. Now how do we curb waste in the home?
1. It starts with having a budget. Don't spend until you have planned to spend. plan your life and let God so the rest.

2. Don't indulge in borrowing and buying on credit life style. Why? You will end up not having what to plan your life with. Borrowing and buying on credit is like eating the future in the now.

3. Make a list when going for shopping. Don't buy on impulse. Allow your list to guide you when shopping.

4. Practice bulk purchasing. You save a lot of money, time and energy when you buy in bulk. Food items especially, can be bought in bulk and you can talk to few friends or colleagues that believe in the idea of bulk buying. Food items like Yam tubers, bags of beans, onions even cow can be bought and shared among yourselves. I tell you there's a joy I feel when I've been able to save some money when I spend wisely. Buy food in season. They are cheaper then. Consider your family size, the space and money available before embarking on bulk purchasing.

5. Have measuring cup so as to measure foodstuffs before cooking. Peradventure you have leftovers, keep them in the fridge or freezer but if you don't have fridge or freezer, cook what will be enough for you and your family per time. I don't like the idea of we can feed the dogs with the leftovers. You either prepare for your dogs by adding their portion when measuring or you prepare theirs separately.

6. Don't keep your taps running each time you need water. Keep plastic buckets of drums in the bathrooms, kitchen etc to keep water. Use the water from the buckets or drums, by so doing you will save some change when paying your water bills the same goes to electricity. Turn off any appliance you are done with, bulbs and fans in a room that is not accommodating anyone per time. Instead of boiling water every now and then, get a good flask keep your hot water in there. Use your pressure pot to boil Cow legs or tail, beans and any other food that can use up your gas.

Good evening every one out there. I believe you are all doing great. Yes, last month I shared on how to handle waste in every way. We will be looking at the concluding part of the message today.

After today's post, I will be sharing with you God willing every week on topics that surrounds family life, relationship, parenting etc.

I want to share with us today a subject matter that I consider to be very important. Important in the sense that our Lord Jesus taught us in John 6:12, after feeding the multitude, He commanded His Disciples saying"gather up the fragments (the broken pieces that are left over), so that nothing may be lost and wasted". This is the Amplified Bible Version and another version says "gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted". The question is -how do you see this matter "waste"? How do you handle it?

The secrets of the rich is their ability to intentionally avoid and fight waste in every ramification. Most of us had wasted all the resources, privileges and opportunities given to us by God and we return to God asking for what He had already given us.

As a worker in the secular or in the ministry, are you working hard and your are wasteful? Hear what God's word has to say in Prov. 18:9 "he also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster". This is serious! The scripture is simply saying that a lazy man/woman and a waster will end up same way - penury, poverty. Why would you a hard working fellow share same status with the lazy because of WASTEFUL LIFESTYLE?

No matter how you see it, it may not be a popular message, God hates waste and if you are His child you must not permit it in your life or around your life.

How does the blessings of God comes? It comes in a little here, a little there form but only the wise manages this little till it becomes big.

Some 16years ago, in my quiet time, I asked the Lord why my relationship is not on the Mountain Top as I had envisaged. The Lord gave me two scriptures, one addressed the issue of barrenness which was a challenge my marriage was facing then.
He also gave me the above - quoted scripture. He told me, if you want to have a Mountain Top experience in your marriage, let this scripture guide you.
On the 2nd day of February 2020, my marriage entered the Maturity Age - 18years and I can say that my affection is strongly for my husband and I had allowed him to rule over me (am not perfect o).
This instruction had produced wonderful results in my marriage over the years.
WHAT HAD GOD TOLD YOU ABOUT YOUR MARRIAGE, BUSINESS, MINISTRY, CAREER, CHILDREN OR HEALTH CHALLENGE(S)? HOLD ON TO THE WORD AND YOU WILL SING ALLELUIA SONG AT THE END. HIS WORD CAN NEVER FAIL. HAVE A FAVOURABLE AND GLORIOUS DAY.
