Organizing committee says there will be no Final again

The organizing committee of the 2026 Inter County Football Tournament has confirmed that there will be no final of the tournament after today's game ended prematurely.

Players and fans of Nzara County protested the decision of central referee Charles Oga when he awarded a penalty against them.

Attempts by Ibba County Commissioner, Bishop of the ECSS Diocese to resolve the matter went unsuccessful as the Nzara County team stuck to their decision that the penalty against them wouldn't be taken.

Both Nzara and Yambio County teams are expected to leave Ibba early tomorrow morning to head back home.

Breaking News - Final of the Inter County Tournament ended prematurely.

The Final of the 2026 Inter County Football Tournament ended prematurely this evening between Nzara County and Yambio County after central referee Charles Oga awarded a penalty for Yambio County.

Invasion of the pitch by fans couldn't allow the game to be played until it was called off by the organizing committee.
