The Cardinal designate Stephen Ameyu briefing the media on the coming of His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin to Juba on Monday. Pietro is expected to land Juba International Airport on Monday, 14th 2023 at 10:00 AM.
He will be received at the Airport by the Archbishop Ameyu, Government delegates, Clergy, and the faithful of the Catholic Church.
The Vatican Secretary of State is expected to visit Malakal where he will meet with the returnees and refugees from Sudan.
He is also expected to visit Rumbek Diocese to encourage the faithfuls in the Diocese.
The Visit of Cardinal Pietro comes after His Lordship Stephen Nyodho, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Malakal made a request to the Vatican in order to assess the Humanitarian situation of the Returnees and Refugees in the Diocese.
