H.E. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor, the Governor of Lakes State in South Sudan, has returned to Rumbek, the state headquarters, after a brief stopover at Yirol West County. During his trip to Juba, the capital city, he participated in the 8th Governors' Forum, which was successfully concluded. The forum brought together various governors from different states to discuss and resolve issues that could contribute to the development of the country. The recommendations and resolutions made during the forum are expected to have a positive impact on the people of South Sudan.

Kenya 🇰🇪 have made a lot of progress the past 60 years and Kenya have a lot more to do as a people to realize shared prosperity.

However, 🇰🇪 can only do that if 🇰🇪 work together to address the challenges we are confronting today as a nation.

🇰🇪 have only one country and we must preserve it for posterity by ensuring the nation remains stable in order to develop.

Aguok is the one of communities that inhabited the former Bhar el Ghazal district of Gogrial.
Aguok is bordering by Apuk Giir to the east, Kuac Ayok to the south, Palieet Wek Ateny to the west, Awan Chan to the northwest, Twic Mayardit to the north and Awan Mou to the northeast.
Aguok was formerly headed by Paramount Chief Mou Akeen & Wek Agoth.

Aguok Kuei is divided into two categories;

A new UN reports highlights a 25 percent increase in detected trafficking victims between 2019 and 2022. This increase is attributed to a spike in cases of child exploitation and forced labor.

Studies also show that migrant workers are three times more likely to end up in circumstances of forced labor exploitation in the private sector compared to local workers.

Abiem Mayar Traditional Festival locally known as (Yai) translated in Dinka language was successful launched yesterday 11th December in Pankot Mayar village.

This festival (Yan Mayardit) is always celebrated after every for Years in memory and in honor of the Most paramount Chief of the overall Abiem Community by his mighty names Chief Mayar Mareng.

This name is the one applied on the community (Abiem Mayar Mareng).It was so colourful and enjoyable.

Abiem community invited it's five neighboring community as follows; Kuac Ayok, Apuk Giir, Abouk Ayom, Noi Ayii and Luo of western Bahr-el- Ghazal state as well as friends from different communities inorder to promote peace and reconciliation.

The ceremony was so marvelous in which more than 31 🐄 🐄 cows and fifteen goats🐐 🐐were slaughtered and this will be accompanied by the long traditional Cultural drum and games. Please Get your shoes ready for there will be four days drama including performing artists which will start at 3 pm and ends at 6 pm.

BREAKING: Meta services, including Facebbok, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, are currently experiencing a global outage. The extent of the outage is unclear, but users worldwide have reported issues or confirmed that Meta's services are down.

Some Meta users have reportedly resumed using the service, but globally, the technical outage has not been fully resolved.

Many users who solely use Meta services have reportedly resorted to restarting their phones, changing passwords, and trying all means to regain access. Aweil News Agency would like to inform its followers that their accounts are safe from hacking and malware; the servers were down.

Aweil Health Science Institute ( AHSI) is a medical institute established in 2014 by National Ministry of Health and National Ministry of Higher Education in south Sudan.

The institute has three medical department, clinical medicine and public Health, registered Nursing, registered Midwifery.

All students of AHSI is urging to administration for increasing of of tuition fees from public intake 100 SSP per term and private intake 120 SSP , there are two semesters per year which make total of public intake 200 SSP per a year and private intake 240 SSP to 240 SSP per a year 2024.

Due to school circular for academic year 2025,
The tuition fees for government intake is increased to 200 USD per a year and 240 USD per a year 2025.

We are Hugging to the government to intervene into the Matter otherwise, we will no longer or discontinue from school.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has directed the Minister of Finance and the entire economic team to ensure that salary arrears owed to public employees are settled as soon as possible. The President issued this directive during the swearing-in ceremony of new government officials, including the Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, Johnny Ohisa Damian, the Chief of Defence Forces, Dr. Paul Nang Majok, and the Inspector General of Police, Abraham Manyuat Peter.

In his address, President Kiir emphasized the importance of correcting the current economic crisis by alleviating the suffering of the people. He called on the newly appointed officials to work diligently towards ensuring stability and economic growth in the country. The president also highlighted the role of the banking sector in financial and economic stability, stressing the need for full cooperation from all economic institutions.

In the security docket, the President listed a series of orders for the new Chief of Defence Forces and the Inspector General of Police, including modernization of the armed forces and improvement of the welfare of soldiers. Additionally, President Kiir ordered the removal of multiple checkpoints across the country to facilitate the easy movement of goods and services.

The President's directives come at a critical time for South Sudan, as the country grapples with economic and security challenges. The new government officials have been tasked with addressing these issues and working towards a more stable and prosperous future for the people of South Sudan.

Remembering a Hero: CDR William Nyuon Bany.

28 years ago, on January 13th, 1996, South Sudan lost a true liberation legend in a place called Gul - Ayod County, Jonglei State. CDR William Nyuon Bany, a founding member of SPLM/A in 1983, played a pivotal role in shaping the nation's destiny.

In the face of mutinies at various garrisons in May 1983, orchestrated by Major Kerbino Kuanyin Bol and Major William Nyuon Bany, the seeds of SPLA/M were sown. Under Dr. John Garang's leadership at Bilpam, Nyuon Bany stood as the third in command, emphasizing unity: "SPLA should fight until its goal is achieved and not fall short like Anya-Nya I and II."

Players have lined up in Gogrial Town to welcome the body of their best player, Ajang Ajang Akot, also known as Lampard, who passed away earlier in Juba. The body will be flown to Mayom for burial. The somber mood and tears shed by the players and mourners alike are a testament to the deep respect and admiration held for the late Ajang Ajang within the South Sudanese community. Rest in peace, legend.
