We are glad to welcome the young musicians who have chosen San Marino one more time as a place of comparison and artistic growth thanks to the Competition. We have carefully followed the career of the winners of the past editions and we noticed with happiness that Sofya Gulyak (2004), Evgheny Brakhman (2006), DongKyu Kim (2010) and above all Daniil Trifonov, launched after winning San Marino Compe
tition in 2008, have become renowned names in the international piano panorama. This is a wonderful reward for the work carried out by our association in these years and above all it is an incredible incentive to go on along this path. What we have always had at heart is the possibility to offer some real support to the best talents in a very tricky moment such as the beginning of their career. We are growing up and the International San Marino Piano Competition is gaining a more and more defined profile edition by edition. Besides being open to the audience, the rehearsals will be broadcasted via web. The presence of commission of undoubted international importance to evaluate the candidates is another peculiar feature of the Competition we are proud of because it is a rare opportunity for all the young competitors, winners or not. We are all looking forward to next September, in the hope that, as with former editions, the 6th International Piano Competition of the Republic of San Marino will turn into a joyous musical invasion of our very small country.
