On this 23rd day of January 2025, I am extremely excited in my capacity as the founder and executive director of the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation to officially announce the signing of a project partnership agreement with Action for Advocacy and Development (AAD-SL) through our organization branch office in Makeni. The partnership is geared towards empowering rural women farmers through village savings and loan schemes for sustainable agriculture in Makarie Chiefdom Bombali District. It is our strongest belief that this collaboration will bring mutual benefits and contribute to our shared objectives. As a registered youth-led non-profit community development organization, we are steadfast in our commitment to contribute meaningfully to humanity, societal development, and national transformation. The Post-Secondary Internship is an intensive annual capacity building program that seeks to meaningfully engage and inspire young people who have sat to the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The Post-Secondary Internship is geared towards career experience, exposure, and development in unfolding the lives of young people by finding their voice, finding their place of belonging, and finding their passion. With support from Berny's Hope Foundation, COFA, and Fruitful Healthcare, the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation has provided educational support to eight beneficiaries of the Grass to Grace Education Program. The support provided includes uniforms, books, shoes, bags, and other relevant materials. The initiative aims to empower less privileged children from disadvantaged backgrounds to access primary and secondary education. Despite taking care of their education, the Grass to Grace Education program is further providing housing, medical, clothing, and feeding for some of its beneficiaries that were relocated from their villages to Port Loko under the direct supervision and care of the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation. The initiative that begins with two beneficiaries in 2022 has expanded to eight beneficiaries in 2024 through the collaboration of like-minded individuals like: Mr. Abdul Karim Kamara (Stylish)- CEO Village Bicycle Project, Dr. Bernadette Sanko Kamara- CEO Berny's Hope Foundation, and Mr. Abu Bakarr George Sillah- CEO Fruitful Healthcare. Going forward, the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation is working assiduously to maintain its support to ensure that beneficiaries complete their primary and secondary education.
