Today at the closing ceremony of the CRANS MONTANA hosted by Amb John Paul Carteron in Brussels, I received an award for my outstanding advocacy work globally for the rights of women and children.

The award was presented to me by the head of the European Commission for Justice and the representative of the UN Secretary General.

Two great gentlemen who shared their delight of presenting to me the honor for my work in protecting our girl child and the dignity of African Women.

This is for all the women in Africa who are going through Emotional , Physical , Sexual and Domestic abuse.

Sierra Leone's First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, presented hospital equipment to Panguma Government Hospital in Lower Bambara Chiefdom, following an invitation from the Honourable Madam Rugiatu Tarawally Musaffa of Constituency 015. This event marked a significant milestone in enhancing healthcare services for the local community and its surrounding villages, bringing hope and excitement to the residents through the First Lady's support for the health sector.

In her address, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio highlighted the impressive progress made under the leadership of President Bio, noting the substantial increase in the number of nurses. "The President has raised the number of nurses from 3,000 to over 10,000 in just six years," she remarked. Expressing her joy at being present, she emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare, particularly for children. "As a mother, it breaks my heart to see children suffer due to a lack of medical facilities," she said, extending her gratitude to the nurses for their dedication and sacrifices.

Her Excellency also shared her achievements in expanding healthcare infrastructure, mentioning the conversion of a 60-bed facility into a 600-bed hospital and the establishment of a nursing school, which will be inaugurated soon.

Dr. Mina, head of Panguma Government Hospital, began his speech by expressing gratitude to Her Excellency for providing the much-needed medical equipment. He extended his thanks to President Bio's for his unwavering support of the healthcare sector in Sierra Leone. Dr. Mina also praised the First Lady for her ongoing commitment to the well-being of Sierra Leoneans and her efforts to protect girls across the country.
