In Sierra Leone, in another nationwide address, President Julius Maada Bio has said that the November 26 attack was a ploy to unleash anarchy by a group of what he referred to as ruthless hooligans; unknown and unlawful assilants. He said that the aim to unseat a democratically elected government by violence and unlawful means is out of place and urged all and sundry to provide useful information to get hold of perpetrators. The President also called for peace, justice and security for all. He said that the attempted coup is a law and order issue, not a political, tribal or religious matter. He furthered that with evidence, all perpetrators will account for their actions. 'No to unconstitutional change of government, attack on peace and democracy,' he continued. Nothing is mentioned about the curfew times which suggests that we're still on it, 9pm to 6am each day, until further notice, as earlier declared.

BREAK DOWN OF THE ESCPED INMATES FROM THE CENTRAL PADEMBA ROAD PRISON ON SUNDAY ..

For the records: Of the 1,890 inmates who escaped from the central prison after Sunday’s jailbreak, 155 were serving life imprisonment and 831 were “long term” convicts.

There were 20 foreign nationals with 10 of them convicted and the others on remand or awaiting trial.

253 were on remand while 347 are categorized as being on trial.

Hundreds of others were serving short-term jail sentences and two were under “safe custody”.

THE FLYING CAR - HENRY FORD'S ATTEMPT TO MAKE US ALL PILOTS

October 1959 saw the completion of the FORD LEVACAR MACH 1, a concept car built to be the first full-scale wheeless vehicle, utilising air propulsion to move around.

It was a full-sized prototype being a one-man "flying car" that was "levitated" several inches off the ground by three powerful air jets located on the bottom of its chassis.

Planned to be powered by a small-scale turbojet engine, the Levacar was purportedly designed to reach a top speed of nearly 500 mph.

Ford's single-seat space coupe was tethered to an arm, enabling it to glide smoothly above a circular glass track. The tiny car was suspended just slightly above the surface by ducted air from pads on its underside. An attached arm guided it around a display in Ford’s famous Rotunda.

Ford promotional materials projected that the single-seat, fiberglass-bodied Levacar might be capable of reaching speeds of five hundred miles per hour, but its utter lack of brakes might have made that a one-time experiment.

Ford gave away thousands of plastic promotional models of their exciting new air car. AMT produced a popular model kit that came complete with a rubber hose that kids could blow in to levitate their toys like the real thing. Unfortunately, those tiny plastic models are all that's left of Ford's bold air car experiment. And we're still bumping along on rubber tires, just like Ford's Model T.

Maybe, if the ban is lifted, the Ministry of Tourism will redefine our tourism drive, by taking a u-turn away from the beaches and diversifying the tourism sector by incorporating, festivals, wildlife conservation, and many more.

This is an enterprise we can refine, reshape and restructure to open an avenue for tourists, where a lot could be shown to the world; from our beautiful culture, music, local country cloth etc.

Reports from Bo states that the Bo Sports Stadium has collapsed, leaving many school pupils damaged. However, I can report from reliable sources that the Bo Sports Stadium is intact and did not collapse. One of the railings over looking the perimeter fence went loose and school girls who leaned on same fell from it which caused damage to them. They have been rushed to the Bo Government hospital for Medicare. The number of girls affected by this is yet unknown but we hope and pray it does not result to fatality/fatalities. ©️ Future news blog s/l
