We went all out this year (a bit too much maybe…)! Everything at SGABF is brand new—no repeats from last year, not even our usual best-sellers. We’re bringing fresh, exciting creations to celebrate the 10th anniversary of , making sure this milestone feels just as special.

The Singapore Literature Prize is an annual celebration of literature in Singapore, encompassing poetry, creative non-fiction, and fiction across Chinese, Malay, Tamil, and English.
 
This program booklet presented a unique challenge as we conducted research and development to explore the use of a sticker sheet as a book cover. It’s our first time using this material in such a way, and we haven’t seen any other books that utilize this approach. The designer’s goal was to create thematic typography stickers, allowing readers to personalize the cover and make it truly their own.

We’re back with a 2nd Edition of this experimental publication together with students. This time, new spot colour combinations that we’ve rarely seen are being used—Process Cyan, PANTONE 806 C, and PANTONE 876 C.
 
The printed images come out beautifully, and are quite captivating with the Cyan, Neon Pink and Copper colours.
 
For those new to us, this collaboration marks a unique experience for students to learn offset printing. We’re probably the first commercial printer engaging in a graphic design education program. It’s a special opportunity for us to share our expertise with the next generation of designers.
 
Even though it’s tough to manage our regular printing tasks along with special projects like this, we’re commitment to educating people about print production.
 
Designers and printers go hand in hand, and we want to help everyone, especially aspiring designers, in gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the printing process.

Offset printing is commonly used in commercial printing for larger projects due to cost-effectiveness. However, it is seldom experimented with or part of graphic design education.
 
This project allows students to explore offset printing using non-CMYK spot colours with the help of Allegro Print. Simple ‘test print’ images are created and printed using the Risograph and offset printing press to produce a small publication of collective sample experiments.

Yesterday 安东 + 蛋蛋, the dynamic duo behind 怪兽工坊 , paid a delightful surprise visit to our print house , showering us with an array of charming goodies!

Meeting them brought joy; their passion for print and ownership of 45 Color RISO Drums amazed us. 🤯 We also had the chance to learn about China’s printing industry. 🖨️🇨🇳

While Risograph printing differs significantly from offset printing , the exchange was enlightening. Special thanks to for connecting them with us!

在华语为非主流语言的地区，华人教会要以华语为媒介语教导下一代，这既不容易，也难持久。一个急需解决的问题是：至今市面上还没有一套适合华文为二语的师生和家长使用的圣经教材

In areas where Chinese is a non-mainstream language, it is neither easy nor sustainable for Chinese churches to use Chinese as the medium to teach the next generation....

制作团队相信，要鼓励二语一代探头了解华文基督教的世界——包括教会所使用的华文圣经译本，要培育他们的兴趣、使命感和能力，以双语人的身份参与甚至投身于华文基督教的发展，教会需要一套适合二语学生使用的圣经教材。

The production team believes that it is necessary to encourage the second-language generation to explore the world of Chinese Christianity - including the Chinese Bible translations used by churches, and to cultivate their interests, sense of mission and ability, so as to participate as bilinguals and even devote themselves to the development of Chinese Christianity. , the church needs a set of Bible teaching materials suitable for second language students.
