Concertmaster of the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Dutch Violinish Carla Leurs is in town! 🎻 She will lead re:Sound in Brahms, Beethoven and the exuberant West Side Story Suite arranged for solo violin and orchestra by Paul Bateman from the musical by Leonard Bernstein.

Support local, support young classical musicians! 🇸🇬🎶

Two of Singapore’s finest young pianists take the stage at the Singapore Symphony’s 2024 showcase of President’s Young Performers. Led by Associate Conductor Rodolfo Barráez, watch Toby Tan, 16, in a performance of Rachmaninoff’s popular rhapsody on Paganini’s famous 24th Caprice. Not forgetting Adrian Tang, 19, a First Prize winner at the 2023 National Piano & Violin Competition and alumnus of the Young Artist programme at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, who will be showcasing Prokofiev’s brilliant Piano Concerto No. 1!

Let me tell you, Sayaka’s playing of the Brahms concerto last night was one of the most spectacular I’ve heard of this concerto. I can’t find enough superlatives! Please catch her tonight with the SSO and Maestro Hans Graf if you can and tell your friends. It’s rare that technique and musicality can collide like this. The stars were aligned. 🌟
