MANGO which stands for Meals, Assistance, Needs, Groceries and Opportunities is an online portal whereby residents in Toa Payoh East can get access to all the different types of social assistance provided by the Toa Payoh East Division.

The portal was developed after grassroots volunteers received feedback from residents that they were not aware of the types of assistance available for them. With the launch of both website and app, we hope that this will enable residents to apply with ease.

Toa Payoh East and Toa Payoh South CCs will be conducting short courses to teach residents how to use the portal. We will be working with various partners such as Xin Yuan Community Cares, Thye Hua Kwan and Care corner to look into how we can reach out to all residents.

In the mobile app, residents are able to send in their requests through audio recordings or documents as we understand that not all residents are fluent in English. In the future, we will be including Chinese, Malay and Tamil for the portal to ensure that all the residents will be able to access and understand the portal.
