Rest in peace, Mr Jiri Heger, Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s Czech-born former principal violist, who served with the orchestra for 32 years before retiring in 2011. Mr Heger was a familiar and commanding presence, often seen at the edge of his seat. He inspired future generations of violists in Singapore.
