What does empowerment mean to these women?
Her World kicked off its Her World Women of the Year 2024 prestigious annual event yesterday (14 October) at JWW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, celebrating women who have made significant contributions to their fields and society.
Despite their varied backgrounds in industries like technology, banking and entertainment, they often face shared challenges - such as gender bias, discrimination and societal expectations - that can serve as powerful catalysts for empowerment. Through their shared experiences, they can find inspiration, support, and a collective voice to advocate for change and create a more equitable world.
To celebrate outstanding women in their respective fields who are making a positive impact and serving as beacons of leadership and empowerment, Her World speaks to some of the women attendees of the gala who share some of their poignant words of wisdom. They are: Soh Chin Ong, President of AWARE Singapore; Trina Liang, Managing Director of Templebridge Investments; Tan Kheng Hua, actor and more.
