Filmwallas.com started with the idea of democratising filmmaking, connecting filmmakers with talent, corporates and the funding community. Using social discovery and crowdsourcing principles, Filmwallas.com brings together and converges the entire eco-system of filmmaking with the underlying objective of empowering the ‘filmmaker’, whether an amateur or a professional, with the right resources. It
is an end-to-end platform that encompasses development of an idea for a short film or a documentary or feature film into a full-fledged product. The platform enables the content creators to find talent (both cast and crew) for their projects automatically using AI/machine learning techniques. The platform also offers microfunding and monetisation/distribution facilities to the content creators. Founded in late 2015 in Singapore, the platform's beta version was launched in July 2016. More than 20 top Bollywood producers, directors and performers, from Film, TV, Radio and Digital Media are already supporting the platform as advisors and mentors. Our top advisors include Prakash Jha, Nagesh Kukunoor and Ashish Vidyarthi, among others.
