Fishing is a fun way to spend quality time with yourself or with friends and family. I enjoyed fishing with my dad and brothers growing up and really appreciate the calm and serenity that it provides, especially in today's hectic world. It's fun when you get lucky and land a few but at times frustrating when you just can't get a bite!
That's where I really love D'Best Recreation over at Pasir Ris. They're the largest saltwater pay pond in Singapore, so there's plenty of fish to catch. The best part is they have a Sure Catch Pond where you would be able to "get lucky" really quickly (I saw a little girl cast and reel in within 15 secs! Serious!). There's also workshops for all ages to help you get started, with packages to suit every occasion.
For pros, they have plenty of other ponds like the Main Pond, Pro Pond, and Premium Pond to test your skills. At the end of it all, head over to Warong Satay Abang Botak for some really tasty satay where they can also charcoal grill your catch to perfection with their delicious sambal!

Marina Bay Sands has become my favourite hangout place. With so many restaurants to choose from, Black Tap seems to be really popular and is always crowded. There's usually a queue to get in. The food here is pretty good, but their CrazyShakes are probably the popular items on social media. The best part is the prices, which are honestly quite reasonable, especially for MBS.
