Last night, I had the most heartwarming conversation with . There's something profoundly different about cat lovers, distinct from dog owners. We don't experience the interaction with others while walking our pets and engaging in casual chit-chat.
Without this account, I might never have crossed paths with fellow cat enthusiasts because everyone is forever busy -- either feeding, rescuing, fostering, rehoming cats, or dedicating themselves to cat education.
Our discussion digged into the topic of naysayers and keyboard warriors -- Those individuals who pass judgment on our work without truly understanding the challenges of the cat community.
I revealed my vulnerability, confessing my fear of not knowing how to help an injured cat; and proudly shared my ongoing cat-related projects.
When I reached home, Gee Gee was nowhere to be found. For 30 agonizing minutes, he was MIA, despite my extensive search efforts.
Despite what social media may portray, I seldom reveal the stressful sides of my life as a pawrent β the constant worry over Gee Gee's fur loss and the nights when Ah Bee's crazy cries in the middle of night, robbing me of sleep.
Yet, in the midst of these perils, I wouldn't exchange my two beloved boys for anything in the world.
