Cinematic improvisation - vovel - piano

Here's my writing process for these kind of songs in short: I improvise on the piano while singing nonsens lyrics. Next step is to go back and listen, rearrange the parts and then retake parts of the vocals to set the melody. Some times i use melodyne to try adjust a few tones in the vocal melody. The rest is the fun part when adding several tracks of instruments like drums, bass, vst guitars, pads etc. When the song starts to grow into something beutiful and the base arrangement is done it's time to track some real guitars. Last up is it's time to record support vocals and then spend a few hours on mixing and mastering. Done. This is a video i recorded trying to write a new song. Enjoy!
