We're starting this new study circle, in the hopes that we can train a group of actors a little bit in improv and also screen acting for our upcoming filmprojects. Please consider joining us -- after the practice we have our club meetings with a wine and cheese mingle. Circle starts Oct 24! (not Oct 22, as it says in the poster :) )
Vi börjar den här nya studiecirkel nästa vecka, i hopp om att vi kan träna en grupp skådespelare lite i improvisation och även filmskådespeleri för våra kommande filmprojekt. Hej UMMC! Vi samarbetar med ett produktionsbolag, Anagram, som kommer att spela in i Skellefteå och Järvträsk (Norrbotten) en Disney+ serie som heter Koka Björn . De behöver kostymassistenter och vi har samlat några UMMC medlemmar som kommer förmodligen att bemanna produktionen, bland andra Veronica, Marlene, Cormac, Oliver, Will och jag. Men i sista minuten har Anagram förlängt den tidsperiod och det antal arbetare som de behöver från oss. Så vi behöver snart hjälp från er!!! Detta är BETALT arbete (180 SEK/timme, 7-10 timmar/dag) och skulle vara en fantastisk upplevelse. Vi behöver särskilt dig som kan arbeta NÄSTA VECKA måndag 28.8 till torsdag 31.8, eller 29.8 till 31.8. Anagram betalar transport, hotell, och mat. Vi behöver kanske också någon som kan arbeta veckan efter nästa, d.v.s. söndag 3.9 till torsdag 7.9. Du behöver INTE ha erfarenhet inom filmbranschen! Alla är välkomna! Hello UMMC! We are cooperating with Anagram, a movie production company, which is shooting a Disney+ film called Koka Björn ("to cook a bear") in Skellefteå and Järvträsk (the countryside north of Umeå). They need costume assistances, and we have already gathered together some UMMC members who will probably help staff the production -- among them, Veronica, Marlene, Cormac, Oliver, Will and myself. But in the last minute, Anagram extended the period of time and the number of workers that they need from us. So we need help immediately from you!!! This is PAID work (180 kr/hour, 7-10 hours per day) and should be a super experience. We specifically need you if you can work NEXT WEEK, Monday 28/8 until Thursday, 31/8, or 29/8 until 31/8. Anagram will pay for transport, hotel, and food. We also may need some more people who can work the week after next, Sunday 3/9 until Thursday 7/9. You do NOT need experience in film! Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 17:30 in UB338 is our Extra Yearly Meeting. 👏 It's an important one, so please try to come if you can. We'll review briefly what we did in the past school year, and we'll make decisions for next year. Among other things, we'll vote upon:

- new board members (who will serve until September 2023, when we have another yearly meeting)
- whether to rent and furnish a clubhouse
- how we finance ourselves
- how we define membership (including a new, fun proposed "buddy system")
- how we organize our communication
- what activities we want to do in the autumn, such as:
- plans for the autumn film
- Tuesday screen acting classes
- other educational workshops and options for experimental "ultra-short" filmmaking
- an opening social event early in the term with working title "rookie night" -- this will be explained

and of course, we'll go to the pub for those who want to.

At this meeting, we try to make decisions by consensus or near-consensus, meaning that we discuss until almost everyone in the room agrees. However, if we can't reach consensus in a reasonable amount of time, then we go to a majority vote system. 🤔 You have the right to vote if you have handed in a membership form. (There will be extra forms there if you want to fill it out tomorrow night.)

If you're wondering why this is called the "Extra Yearly Meeting", it's because our yearly meetings are constitutionally scheduled for September. However, since this is our first year of operation, we need to put in an extra meeting now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Bureaucracy.
