We explored practical techniques, discussed considerations for new formats, and showcased our award-winning work through VR-headsets and our VR-cinema setup that allows for synchronized showings. 🚀

Our work regarding climate change in the Arctic won a UNESCO-designated XR award last week at VRINN awards in Hamar, Norway. The WebXR-story transports you to the island of Qikiqtaruk (also called Herschel Island) in the Canadian Arctic, and lets you experience first-hand how a whole island is subjected to rapid change and is even slowly dissappearing in to the ocean because of the effects of climate change. This is the second big win for this experience.

The project is also nominated in the upcoming AIXR prize at VRDays Foundation.

The project was led by Jeff Kerby, Isla Myers-Smith of TeamShrub and IVARs co-founder Martin Edström together with Richard Gordon at Yukon Parks and Annika Trimble at Aurora Research Institute. Our team at IVAR has been in the middle of it all to create the 3D-renderings and WebXR-components to make it come together.

We are happy to announce that our film "Sagarmatha Next" won the "Transforming Society Short Film Award" at the tve Global Sustainability Films Awards this week.🏆♻️🌏

Sagarmatha Next deserves all the recoginition its getting, and we are proud and humbled to receive this award. The film has so far been nominated in over 10 film festivals, and won several awards. 🙏

We are finally live with our work for Sagarmatha Next. This project has been our longest, going on since the start of 2017. Sagarmatha Next finally opened last year, and all of our work for them is live. 🇳🇵🙏

We've produced their 11 minute introduction film, digital exhibtion content, the physical exhibition and VR-content and hardware for the center. 📺🥽💻

What incredible progress we've had this year! Not only have we doubled our revenue, but our team has also grown to be its biggest yet, and we've produced incredible content for a wide variety of clients. 2022 has been our strongest year yet and we're so proud of what our team has accomplished. 🤩🚀

Great to see a little piece of our latest work for National Geographic was published in the latest number of the magazine. This is one of the first times a photogrammetry 3D render is published in the magazine. 📰🗿

In the fall of 2021 National Geographic sent Martin Edström and Oliver Akermo from our team capture Stonehenge in 3D using photogrammetry. Using the 3D-data, an AR-filter was released this summer featuring the model. Check it out on 's instagram.
More fun applications using this data is to come - stay tuned 👀

Last week parts of the team were up north in the small town of Voullerim. We're working on an exciting digital narrative for Statens försvarshistoriska museer (SFHM). 💂

The project is the first part of a new way of exploring military fortification sites and opening them up for digital visits. 🏵️🏰⚔️

Right before the pandemic hit we were part of the media team, following the National Geographic Plastic: Sea to Source Expedition in India and their work along this river of rivers. 🇮🇳 🥽

As a series it explores the impact of plastic on both local communities and important ecosystems in India - using the situation in the Ganges to highlight the larger global issue of plastic. 🗑️ ♻️ 🌏

Did you know that Vardaga uses virtual tours to showcase its elder care facilities? 🏡👴👵

In 2020 we produced a Virtual Tour, and an accompanying 360-video to showcase how Vardaga develops and builds its facilities.

The virtual tour has been live on their website during the pandemic, and the data speaks for itself. Over 35% of the visitors of the virtual tour stay for over 3 minutes – meaning the engagement rate is very high for a website visit. ↗️ 🖥️

What's it like to be a refugee on the run? And how can we talk to kids about everything from war to asylum rights? This is something we all hope we won't need to go through in our lifetime, while current events have all of us thinking about it.

Looking back, one of our attempts to help tell this large story in classrooms was the project 'My New Home' for Plan International. In the visual storyline of the project, you get to hear and feel the story of a young boy named Eric as he settles into a new life in Nyarugusu refugee camp in Tanzania.

The project was an attempt to fit the larger narrative of the refugee crisis into a story that could be told during a lesson in school, and was well received when we launched it in Sweden. Since then, the experience has been translated into several languages and has been used in schools around Europe. 🏫 📚

We're hoping we can get back to similar storytelling soon, to bring this important question into classrooms and educational settings.
