🗓 A year ago, we took on the challenge of finding and identifying the 111 young talents with the most potential in Sweden; we called it the Nova 111 List.

📈 After more than 4,5 million impressions and xx media mentions, the first edition of the Nova 111 List was a complete success, and we are happy to announce that we are launching a second edition. Next January, we will open the application and nomination period of the Nova 111 List in Sweden.

Last week we had the pleasure to meet Giorgio Tinacci during our latest CEO Talks. ⠀
⠀
founded Casavo] in 2017 and has scaled it to 300+ employees. Casavo] has handled more than 1400 real estate transactions to date, for a total value of over €400 million. Covering some of the ups and downs of this incredible entrepreneurial journey, Giorgio shared some important reflections:⠀

🏡 Don't be afraid to start small, that is how everything starts. The key is not to give up along the way.⠀
🏡 Success for him as a leader is to see people thrive and develop while they keep on achieving great things.⠀

There are so many online tools available that we are not aware of, and at Nova, we take advantage of many of them. Through this list, we hope to introduce you to some of the "most used tools at Nova", while explaining how we make the most from them.

At Nova Talent, we work towards catalyzing moments that have the potential to shape our members' careers and lives for the better. It's rewarding when we find a story in which Nova has played a role to a member's career.

Last week we invited one of our most active members in Spain, Diego Rueda, to tell us why he became a Nova Member and the value we have given him to date.

Diego recently founded , which is the brand of functional beverages with relaxing and anti-stress properties, made of ingredients chosen to contribute to overall wellness, and they have joined us in many of our recent events.

Yesterday we had our first Italian event with a leading employer of the FMCG sectors: Procter & Gamble Italia, a long-time partner which we can now support in even more countries.

The Future Female digital event brought together 25 of the brightest students and graduates from all over the country who together first explored what a career within Sales at P&G can offer and then worked in teams on a real business challenge.

The event ended with a dynamic speed session where all the Novas had the chance to meet the top management of the company and dive deeper into their day-to-day via informal conversations.

We are proud to be serving the growing needs of Procter & Gamble and see many of our members explore new careers in such an intimate setting.

Most probably all good stories start with an act of serendipity, and the history of Nova Talent is no exception.

Yesterday, during the , some of the founding members of the team shared the history of Nova and how a list of the best 100 Swedish students founded in 1997 turned into a global network of now +11k members.

The ingredients who fuelled Nova throughout the years and across different eras are:

🌟 The energy of a stubborn and visionary founder, Lars, who for 20 years has kept on believing in the power of connecting the world's brightest individuals and kept going through a lot of the hardships of scaling a human centric business.

👩‍🚀 Young new leaders who married that vision and made it their own spotting the gaps and bringing their adjustments to it making Nova a members-first business while adding the needed layer of technology.

⏳ A lot of patience, trials and bias for action and more importantly the ability to attract top talent to the team and to the network.

And of course a lot of serendipity which has brought spaniards, italians and swedish talent together to build something that has the ambition and potential to change the world for the better.

The holidays are approaching and the Nova Team wants to wish you a well-deserved break after a year that has been challenging and transformative for all of us. While 2020 has been a year of acceleration and transformation, in the midst of the turbulent changes we always had something to hold on to: you. We devoted our attention to listening to you and many programs were launched as a result: mentoring, gravity, telescope, career content, podcast, Nova 111 and more.

We are grateful to go into the holidays with the strong belief that we are building something meaningful together. We get asked since the early age "What you'd like to do when you grow up?"

We all share that pressure when choosing our first or next job..."Is this the right direction to take? Will I use my skills and competences to serve the right purpose? What are the keys to success in that industry? What about the salary I can earn?"

Career choices can be, unfortunately, small bets we make with more or less information at hand. The quality of the information is significantly dependent on how many people you talk to, hence depend on your network and access to trustworthy sources of information.

This is why we wanted to help our members with navigating their career even better and we are launching today a new section on Nova Connect called "Careers".

As a member, you can now access written career advice on 10 different industries and roles. From a growth manager to partner at a Private Equity fund, you can now explore other industries whenever you need it.

We know that nothing beats a great conversation with another member from that industry, but hey...why limiting your options when you can have both?

We are honoured to present you September’s , a new monthly section in which we introduce women with inspiring leadership paths and who have valuable advice to give to other Novas.

Natalia Rodriguez Nuñez-Milara is a pioneer in technology that helps others, a vocation she discovered after living a few months in a hospital due to a family member illness. Today, she is the Founder and Managing Director of .

Natalia is always on the lookout to gain more knowledge, she joined the Nova network in May 2019, and has always been Nova at heart, by valuing the importance of “never to stop learning or training in different things and to make a good network.”

As a leader in the Innovation, cutting-edge technology and entrepreneurship industry, Natalia has faced many challenges, but always carries on, because, as she says “[it] can create solutions that have a lot of impact on people’s real lives.”

Nova Summit 2019 🎉

Although the expression usually goes, ‘a picture speaks louder than a thousand words’, we’d still need a lot more than just one to expressly convey the day and evening on the 4th of October.
